Going to have to be out of continuity based on the season ending show.
I enjoyed it. Cameos were great, and I'm sure I missed a lot of them. Ending was perfect.
What takes me out of the show more than anything else is Cheyenne. Over and over and over they talk about the character being 17 years old. I would guess her to be 30 easy. It doesn't seem to bother anyone else, but I wish they'd either hired someone that looks like a teenager or stop harping on her being 17 years old.
EDIT: Looks like the actress is 27. Holy cow she is quite beautiful outside character.
I saw three cameos: Tara Lipinski, Apolo Anton Ohno, and McKayla Maroney. Apolo was great, trying to "skate" around the old lady blocking him.
There was also an appearance by Olympic gold medal winner Missy Jones.
played by SNLs Cecily Strong
Ohno I missed. Don't know him.
If you still have it on your TiVo, go back and watch it, it's worth it.
Maybe halfway thru, there is a scene with an old lady pushing a cart down an aisle. The young guy behind her keeps trying to get by, and she keeps veering back & forth, blocking him without even realizing it. I commented to my wife when we saw this how much I hate it when people do this at the grocery store.
Then it hit me, that's Ohno!
I honestly don't remember what the season ender was...
but didn't she look way way different in this episode? I didn't go online to look at other pictures, but somehow her character seemed to look very different.
She looked very much the same. Very pregnant, same hair...
My Tivo missed it, but was able to catch it online. Loved it! But yeah, way out of continuity. But I forgive them.
I remember the scene because I could sooooo relate.
I just meant I missed that the scene was a cameo because I don't know the guy Ohno.
Renewed for a 22 episode third season!
I only watch three NBC shows--Superstore, This Is Us and The Good Place. I'm batting 1.000 for renewals!
ETA: Just realized I also watch Emerald City. I like it, but unlike the above three, I won't cry if it's not renewed.
I'm about 7 episodes behind. I was thinking about dropping Superstore then I watched an episode I thought was really good. I think it was the Halloween episode. Anyway, that was enough to keep me in for at least a few more.
I have the second season recorded and am waiting for season 1 to hopefully show up on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
S1 is on Hulu (if you have it).
Just caught up on this show so this news makes me happy!
I absolutely love this show. Thrilled it got another season.
