My favorite part of this latest episode was the quick interstitial of an unnoticed raccoon in the produce.

Am I the only one who can just barely stand Glenn?

Love this show, though, even though I didn't discover it until the beginning of S2.

Seeing Eden Sher was a surprise. I'm thinking it's possible she would do better joining this show than her new 'Sue' show. Sue was such a profoundly annoying character that it's difficult to imagine a whole show of Sue.

I don't like his character. IMO the rest of the cast is so strong they could drop him and it wouldn't skip a beat.

Glenn is good in small doses. I like it when they have him do something really sweet and nice, surprising everybody. There's been a few times he has come up with a good plan to really help his employees. Other times he comes across as stupid and/or mean. Like giving Amy a puppy. But it was kinda funny :p

Because her character here was so calm and reassuring?

Well, nutty as hell (as usual), but at least it's a large ensemble so it works ok in much smaller doses. :)

Really? Sue Heck was my favorite character on The Middle.

Well, I didn't think she was bad. She was just annoying and the screaming made me want to kill my tv. :D I can't deal with screaming.

But the character was very sweet, so I do give her that. OTOH, Frankie, Axl, and Brick were all aholes, IMO, and I couldn't stand any of them.

Brad was probably my favorite character. Plus, I liked Mike but I was already a fan of Neil Flynn, so that didn't hurt. Looking forward to his new show, although in this moment I cannot remember when and where. D'oh!

Not the best episode, but the smile competition between Garret and Dina was pretty funny. I suspected they would be sleeping together by the end but not this episode. We didn't get resolution for it, so I suppose it could continue into next episode, but I doubt it.

Mateo trying to talk like a straight guy was funny.

Amy hitting Glenn in the head with a yam was also pretty funny. "Why'd it have to be the head?" "It just did" "yeah. I just wish it didn't hurt as much"

When he made that comment about liking to watch Amy walk away so he could ogle her ass, I thought how out of character that was for Mateo. Then he 'fessed up. :p

    In front of...
Glenn rattling off the items in the guy's cart that were like a starter kit for murder, then later the guy testing out different knives by making vaguely murderous jabs. :fearscream:

I have a sick sense of humor :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Then you'd lose the "pro" Cloud 9 element and half the jokes would flop IMO.

When the guy asks for bleach, Glen has a moment of conscience until the guy says he will get it online and then the sale is more important.

Good episode last night. Glen is such a softie. You know that he ended up vouching for Mateo rather than report him. Love the whole manager's convention bit. I always used to go to those types of things for the swag too!

I kept thinking they were going to get a bill at the end. That’s some swanky swag for a discount store. And why wasn’t there a line for the iPads?

Amy and Jonah have to get their self-righteousness in check! Amy just gave the d-bag managers another way to further squeeze the commoners.

Love this show and another good episode. It's touching how giving Glenn is. Crappy manager, but a very generous person.

Yeah, that was a surprisingly touching moment. Didn't see it coming.

Love Cheyenne! The ensemble on this show is just outstanding. So many great characters, and while there's not enough time for all of them, when they do get lines, they're so good.

I was thinking the same thing. That the stuff really wasn't free and that they would have to pay for it. It seems that store managers get paid much better than I remember back in the days when I was an Assistant Manager with KMart (in the early 1980s).

Great episode! In addition to the stuff already mentioned, quite a few other funny things.

Guy pulling girlfriend through the store in a sled.

Marcus asking for a haircut like Jeff Probst.

    Dina and Garrett wrapping presents.
