Yeah, the suit padding through me off a bit too. It didn't seem so apparent in all scenes, but the ones where it did were almost comical. Hoechlin isn't exactly a 98 lbs weakling, and he didn't seem to be padded in his previous appearances. So I don't really know why they were doing it now anyway. Hopefully it was just something they were trying for the pilot.

But when he's Clark, you can see how skinny he is. Not really scrawny (I was exaggerating for effect), but way too skinny to be plausible as Superman.

You guys didn't really think a pair of glasses was enough to hide his identity, did you? He must wear a super girdle underneath his street clothes to change the appearance of his physique. Then again, maybe he eats a can of spinach before he turns into Superman and it expands his muscles. We may never know.;)

The kid that Superman saves from the falling car in the beginning, was that Jimmy Olsen?

What makes you think that? Just seemed to be a random kid.

It would be an interesting easter egg if it was.

I have to say it - his constant 5 o'clock shadow bugged me in Supergirl, and it still bugs me here. Superman shaves with a mirror and his heat vision. There's no reason for him to always have a 5 o'clock shadow!

It’s five o’clock somewhere. Guess it’s where he always is.

Still, I have to laugh when his kids don't recognize him as Superman...until he takes off his glasses. :D

Supergirl is the only of the CW shows I watch (other than crossovers) and I really enjoyed this in the same way I enjoy supergirl - as a fun/campy sort of show.

...although Supergirl got awfully grim, especially in the season before the last. Doesn't seem to me it entirely recovered, and with this coming season being the last, one wonders if it ever will.

When I saw the white house, I thought, hey is that the house of cedar and pine from 12 monkeys? It’s looks similar yet different so prob not.

This! I only really watch The Flash and the crossovers, but one thing that always botherd me about the CW DCverse is Superman being stubbly. this is the only incarnation that I ever remember with him with 5:00 Shadow constantly. It bugs me to no end.

I figured Jordan as the one with the powers from the get go. Too tropey. I'm in for now just because it's such a different take on the Big Blue Boy Scout.

I haven't watched a CW superhero show in a couple years. I wasn't even going to bother with this show, but just decided to watch it out of the blue today. I really liked it. I will keep on watching.

In the comics, it was once explained that he subconsciously projects a hypnotic like effect from his eyes, which I think may have been literally magnified by this glasses, that causes others to see him as more diminutive than he actually is. Only works when he's looking at you, of course. I even recall someone that had approached him from behind remarking that he looked bigger from the back.

He also slouches as Clark, to appear smaller. And wasn't it also once mentioned he compresses his spine? Been a long time since I've read any comics.

He should get caps for his teeth for one identify or the other. They are pretty distinctive.

The hypnosis thing was weak but the stance can make a big difference. Christopher Reeve did a great job of that in a scene he changed identities.
