Has anyone read if ABC is going to lift restrictions on the HD channels for the Super Bowl. I could be dreaming, but wasn't this done in the past?

    Tinley...
You mean from the NATIONAL feed channels?

No word yet that I am aware of.

I hope they do it for the wildcard game this weekend. My OTA reception for the local ABC station is a bit iffy.

Can't imagine it will happen, but...

You are dreaming. Only the DNS subscribers and those in O&O DMAs that are currently allowed to receive the E & W HD nets were able to see the Super Bowl in HD via DirecTV (FOX last year, and CBS the previous year).

In years past, DirecTV used the Super Bowl as their target date for any ECMs. I doubt that they or ABC will open that feed.
