Submitted a support email to remove Tivo+ today will see if they will do it. Tivo+ is a cancer to the channel guide which you cannot hide or remove. The content does not interest me, so to me it is useless. I am unable to read the Tivo+ agreement, so I will not agree. I'm pretty sure they will monetize off of you by selling your info and target ads to your profile. Maybe like the pre-roll ads.

If you do not want Tivo+ go to TE3.

I agree that is very annoying. Reminds me of my old cable DVR guide where they would insert fake VOD "channels" all throughout the guide.

Where TE3 gets eight channels per screen, Hydra gets seven? Just one more reason to be thankful that I never touched Hydra.

Tivo+ is being crammed down the customer's throat. It should be included with the apps like Amazon or Hulu that can be selected or deselected from showing on the app screen. I assume there is a significant monetary reward for Tivo, if I customer watches a show on Tivo+.

I got Tivo+ yesterday, and there is not a single thing there worth watching. The biggest surprise was that when watching something on Tivo+, all the content was live and no way to rewind or restart. The biggest waste of space on the guide. I only can hope that either they had better content or give us the option to remove it from the guide.

On TE3, but I'm not happy about how Amazon Alexa and Get New Experience can't be removed from the Apps section. I imagine it's a whole new level of pain to have 12.5% of your channels per page to go away. Now to scroll past 140 channels, you'd need not 20 button pushes, but rather 24 (23.33). Maybe I'm being a bit facetious, but my point still stands. It's going to wear down your channel up and down buttons!

(About my math: While showing eight channels, channel down advances seven since it shows the bottom channel at the top. I assume the same holds for Hydra, but I'm not positive.)

I don’t think there is anyway they remove TiVo + from the guide, it’s probably baked in.

Maybe @TiVo_Ted can enlighten us as to whether Hydra users can remove the TiVo+ channel from the guide similar to how users can opt-out of preroll ads?

I agree. Otherwise, they would have put Tivo+ in the apps section with the ability to select and deselect it.

I am on TE3 forever so won't have TiVo+. However what I see about it reminds me of Pluto -- a bunch of free stuff that isn't worth bothering with if you have streaming services like Netflix or Amazon Prime. YMMV.

Pluto is actually a lot better than it used to be, and a thousand times better than Tivo+.

I Tivo trying to accelerate their demise with all this crap?

Its so slow on the Mini v1 and v2 it locks them up, it can lock up the Romio 4 tuners too forcing hard reboots.

Also Asylum has non kid friendly content any child can accidentally or intentionally run into.

I opened a support ticket requesting an option to turn these channels off. They are very annoying and getting in the way of the channels I am paying for.

Their is no reason they could not have just made it an app. Just like the other apps, select to show it or not.

It seems obvious to me their approach at making additional money now is through brute force with either the pre-roll ads or their TiVo plus service (which some number of users will click on in the guide and use just out of boredom or curiosity) and may stay on whatever is there playing. That number seems small to me though. But who knows.

I'm pretty forgiving but those TiVo plus channels are sad! It makes me sad they couldn't do better.

Plus the implementation--constant commercials and no trick play?
