The baby's name is Rebecca Tripp. Jordan told him to look at the adoption papers -- he was adopting the baby and she was getting his last name, not Jordan's.

So Matt and Danny didn't actually get fired, they quit? I would have thought in all the discussion about Jack firing Matt and Danny it would have come out that they quit. I was disappointed in that turn, as it made the all the drama around that situation seem very contrived.

I haven't watched since episode 12 or so, but I happened to catch the beginning of the show last night. After hearing the first few lines if dialog, I was instantly reminded of why I stopped watching it, and turned it off.

God, this show was so self-important. I kind of liked it in the beginning, but it wore thin really quickly.

Good finale. I didn't mind the sap either and am glad that they tied up the loose ends for all of us. The series will make a good one-box DVD set on Amazon.com in time for Christmas.

Given that this was the series finale, they kind of had to wrap up those particular plots. Or, they could have cut to black when the Dr. tells Danny they have to talk and we could spends days speculating about what happened.

Unfortunately that doesn't make it any better. The last 4 episodes were worthless melodrama that detracted greatly from my overall positive impression of the show. Then they tacked on a series finale blurb that was somewhat cheap in the last few seconds. It's two bad things. I realize that the tacked on ending was probably not the original intent but that doesn't make me like it anymore. I'd rather them for once not take the cheap way out and leave it unanswered whether the two lovebirds got back together, for example.

Enjoyed it while it lasted. Little preachy at times, but fun.

When it was over, I was kind of "meh". A bit too sappy and "happy endingish" for me.

But, I guess it's better than some trainwreck of an ending like say, a mafia show might have, or a sitcom about nothing might have. ;)

It was no West Wing or Sports Night, but it was still better than 95% of the other stuff on TV. I'll miss it.

I'll miss Matt Albie. Can he get a job somewhere else in TV? Can he go be on Brothers and Sisters, or Greys Anatomy or Lost?

That's what I said too Lori. It was good seeing Mathew Perry on TV again. His turn on the West Wing is what had me looking forward to S60.

Time to start the "Friends" curse. Three ratings fiascos ("The Comeback," "Joey," and "S60") and a little cable thing are all the cast has to show for itself with series TV.

All that curse talk is a bunch of hooey. Considering how slim the odds are to star in a TV show that becomes a hit, the odds of it happening twice are miniscule.

The people who fail to do it aren't cursed; the people who succeed are blessed.

Finally watched it. Aaron Sorkin, writing God, did a fine job of wrapping up the show and leaving us without loose ends, and feeling like there was closure.

I am so sorry this series has ended. :(

I read here, I think, that he uses the last line in all of his shows? Can that be true? That last line here was "I'll make a friend of you yet." Was that what he used in Sports Night? Was that the last line of his last script in West Wing?

There is nobody in Hollywood I would rather meet than Aaron Sorkin.

I don't really understand people getting down on this episode and the last few. If the series were to continue there would have been a cliffhanger for at least one of the three major story lines that were building up. They did not have that luxury, so they decided to just wrap it up. I appreciate it actually wrapping up as opposed to leaving us in a cliffhanger like Invasion or even worse, Reunion did last year.

I enjoyed the entire run of this series and would have loved to see it continue. These past few episodes were very enjoyable for me for the exact same reason I loved the entire series: I enjoy watching these people talk to each other.

My newspaper does little blurbs describing the shows that are airing that evening.

For this final episode of an interesting and well-written series, the description was:

"Verbose people take themselves too seriously."

 WTF? It was just a description of the episode - it wasn't supposed to be a personal opinion!

Maybe somebody here wrote it? ;)

    +1

and for all the thread crappers and haters, here's another +1 ;)

Don't know about West Wing, but I have Sports Night, and technically the last line of the last show, Quo Vadimus, is Dan saying "Elsewhere in the AL East, the Blue Jays visit the Orioles in a rare..." The last exchange is:

    Dan: What are friends for?
Casey: For beating the hell out of you?
Dan: Exactly. Elsewhere is the AL East, the Blue Jays visit the Orioles in a rare..."

Oh, and someone here mentioned that Sorkin always titles the last show What Kind of Day has it Been, but I don't think that's true either. The last episode of the first season of Sports Night was that, but, as I just mentioned, the last episode of Sports Night was Quo Vadimus.

West Wing's 1st season finale (Episode 22) was also titled "What kind of day has it been"
