The capability if Video On Demand is an awesome new feature that is rolling out beginning today. I had 2 of my HR20's on the beta for awhile and it is a nice service, hopefully it remains free.

 

Same here. Out of our 45 or so Season Passes only 1 is not broadcast on the networks or MPEG2 HD channels (HBOHD, ESPNHD, DSC HD) and thats The Shield. Since I've heard nothing about The Shield being recorded in HD it makes no sense for me to switch for the upconverted content.

I've had the HR10-250 for two years with 100% recording reliability. Never missed one show or had one bad recording. I read these boards and the dbs boards daily and it sounds like its a long way from that. So no thanks.
