Advertisements Somehow my wife brought up the "WARNING You are about to permanently remove the external storage device from this TIVO box” screen. She must have mistakenly hit some incorrect keys on the remote but I was not able to go back to the normal TIVO operation using the remote and I did not want to unplug/reboot the box, not knowing if that would kill the unit. The next morning I called TIVO tech support and after being treated badly by the first person I spoke with, I was told that I should unplug the box and reboot it. That information should be provided at the bottom of the "WARNING" screen. There is plenty of room to provide a second option in addition to how to proceed to permanently remove the external storage device if you do not want to do that. Can't be too difficult for someone to do that can it?
