start up problems with series 2

    I to started having a problem last night. the tivo goes to the welcome screen, then says powering up, just a few more minuntes, then it just starts over doing the same thing again ! hard drive ? please help.

    question, if I have a bad hard drive, can I use a hard drive from another tivo, same series ?

    Neither...
    It has to be the EXACT same model TiVo, not just the same series.

    However, if you have the drive image for your model TiVo, you can use the drive from another TiVo (as long as it is a PATA/IDE model), or any PATA/IDE drive, and transfer the image to it.
