In Moebius, the season 8 finale, SG-1 used the puddle jumper with the time engine to go back to ancient Egypt and recover a ZPM that was on Earth at that point. They then hid it along with a videotape so it would be found when the stargate was originally unearthed. They then sent the ZPM to Atlantis.

And you do know he isn't the same guy from The Lone Gunmen, right?

Great episode! I too loved seeing Janet again and wished she would have stayed. I've always liked her character. I didn't know who the guy with the big white teeth was, though. I guess I missed that season.

You guys are welcome to your Carter fantasies. I'll stick with my multiple Mitchell/Daniel dreams. We even got to see Mitchell in his skivvies!

The one person I had been hoping we'd see on an alternate team was Kawalski.

I'm still wondering how the first SG1 team knew that this universe had a ZPM at Atlantis. They could just have well gone to another Earth that hadn't discovered it yet.

    I loved this episode.

Why do you suppose the parallel universe characters weren't affected in the same way that parallel universe Sam was when they first discovered the mirror?

But you're both assuming they knew where they were going. I don't know how they could; they must have been flying blind.

So, we had 16 different SG-1s from as many different parallel universes, all similar to ours, but with major differences ... and every single one of them had the exact same ID code?

    Technically the code was 1-2-3-4-5.

I know 'cause it's the same code I use on my luggage. :D

Well, the ones with the incorrect (i.e. a different) ID code wouldn't have gotten to our SGC, since the iris wouldn't have been opened for them.

    Hopefully none of them splatted...

I wouldn't call them necessarily evil, just in a tight spot and doing something desperate to save (their) Earth. They're not mean to SG-1 when they take over the ship (well maybe a little to Mitchell) but otherwise they're doing something that SG-1 might do if their Earth was in a tough spot.

Which is really where this episode let me down. I thought the parallel stuff was great, mustache comment, old characters come back, good comments, all great. But the other team (let's call them SGA) seemed to be coming from a Timeline that was either a bit further along than we are and didn't seem parallel more fuure.

From what I picked up, SGA's Earth is probably close to under seige by the Ori who have made another (or maybe the first worked) Beachead. They need the ZPM to power the Antartica weapon. Why didn't they take it from their Atlantis? If they didn't have it on their Atlantis, why would they think/know we had an Atlantis with a ZPM. Dunno, this was just too much of a stretch and really hurt the episode for me.

I was okay with the blackhole from the beachhead theory. After that, it got kinda weak.

Although at the end with the 'Cut the green wire.' comment, that was classic. Just like the note warning us of those Aliens (can't remember which episode it was). And you've really got to wonder if SGA Mitchell is trying to help SG1 Mitchell or screwing him. Definitly have to see where that goes.

I had the impression that the GDO let them know when the iris has been opened...

For all we know their Atlantis may have been destroyed in the Wraith attack at the end of Season 1. Black-SG1 (In the script thats how the writer refered to the teams, by their uniform color) may have never went back in time and got the ZPM from earlier this season.

One of them comes up with this totally reckless plan that may, just may save them. They know their are multiple realities. Black-Sam comes up with the theory that if they can use the explosion and black hole and such to punch through another a reality where, maybe, maybe they can find a ZPM. I doubt their inital plan involved Atlantis. I would imagine the plan involved them figuring it out on the fly, as SG-1 often does. :D

I thought it was a fun episode I enjoyed it a lot. Any time carter with glasses shows up that is always a good thing. I just wish jack would of been there because I am sure he would have a some great lines.
