Surely there is a statute of limitation on these things.
Rosebud is his sled. BW is dead the whole time. TD is a figment of his imagination. Rose lets go. The girl is a guy. He was on Earth but in the future. It was Verbal all along.

I was at the Star Convention in Las Vegas last week, and while the Picard panel with Johnathan Frakes, Jeri Ryan, and Jonathan Del Arco was a lot of fun to see, there was no new information given, which was a huge disappointment. Frakes even had a shirt on that said "Don't ask me anything, I signed an NDA" that he kept showing whenever anyone asked a question that came to close to anything.

One thing I did find find out, is that there really is a Chateau Picard in Bordeaux France, and CBS worked for two years to be allowed to use the actual labels from the winery on the show. and that there will be a way to get the actual wines here in the US (I guess it's not currently imported to the states.)

I can say I'm looking forward to this show.

That's disappointing but not entirely surprising. :( I heard that before Discovery came out, at the Vegas con, they had all/most of the ST: D actors up on stage and they also couldn't say anything about the show.

Must've otherwise been a great convention. I've been to the Vegas Trek convention twice, so far. Once last year and another time several years back, when Leonard Nimoy was still alive. And, he was up on stage speaking. He said was retiring from convention. IIRC, he did one more in Chicago and that was it.

I’m only about halfway thru watching . I always worry about videos like this getting taken down as I’m not clear if they have authorization. Creation Ent in their handouts specifically say you’re not allowed to record video. They themselves can and do, of course.

    New trailer from NY ComicCon:

My thoughts, in no particular order:
Ok, if Data is appearing to Picard in a dream, that would at least provide an explanation as to why he looks off. And holy ****, does he not look like Data. Even ignoring the fact that he looks much puffier than he did back then and the wrinkles are showing through the makeup... they totally used the wrong contact lenses, and the hair isn't even right. (If those weren't intentional... How did they screw either of those up, honestly?!? It's not that hard!)

I was concerned when I was hearing Picard talk at the beginning... his voice was pretty raspy... but as the trailer progressed, and I presume Picard gets back into action, he sounded much more like himself.

Good to see Riker and Troi again, and this time not trying to pretend they were still the same as they were in TNG era, and failing miserably (aka ST:E final episode).

Patrick Stewart is much older. When he appeared on stage as a surprise in the 2017 Vegas convention (I was there and in the room), I do also recall his voice being much raspier.
As for Data, well, Brent Spiner also has really aged.

Understood about Spiner, which is why i was willing to disregard the facial changes -- the puffiness and wrinkles and such. That's just aging, and it happens.

The really bad wig and contacts were less forgivable for me.

The thread title is marked for spoilers. I don't think spoiler tags are necessary in the posts (in case you were inclined to continue that back-and-forth).

They are all way up there in age. Of course they are going to look older. Heck, Patrick stewart is almost 80.
    Brent Spiner is 70.

And of course people age differently. Some people at 40 or 50 look like they are 70. And some people at 70 or 80 look like they 50.

It was SOOOOO awesome seeing Riker and Troi in this. Though I am sure they are only going to be cameos in the first episode or two. I have to admit to tearing up a bit when Will and Jean-Luc were on the bench by the pond talking.

I loved the trailer. Were my eyes deceiving me or were those old school (TOS) Romulan warbirds I saw there? Very cool call back then. I can't wait to see how it all fits together.

So are we to assume the girl is likely some form of an experiment gone wrong by the Borg and she’s escaped?

Best thing about the trailer? Release date of Jan 25th!

(It may have been announced before but I hadn't heard it).

I disagree. The best part is that the dog is named #1. :D
