Then what is the purpose for this thread? What *can* be discussed?
If you want to spoil stuff in a thread like this, use the (bracket)spoiler(end bracket) tag.
Rules for Posting to the TV Talk Area
That doesn't even begin to answer my question. This is not an episode specific thread; it is not a season specific thread. Pretty much anything that has happened at any time on the show is a spoiler.
So, I'll ask again, what *can* you post on a thread like that other then some text promoting the show (and even that would be considered spoiler by some).
You answered your own question, I think, as to what can't be posted; by extension, anything else is fair game. I'm not sure reductio ad absurdum is a valid argument here.
So I guess my point is what is the purpose of such a thread?
I'm really loving this show. I liked season 1, and this first episode of season 2 was great.
I repeat: There is no purpose. OP created a new thread to complain about the length (or lack thereof) of season one episode two, ignoring the thread that already existed for discussing season one episode two. It should have been merged, it wasn't, and now people won't let this thread die.
There's a new "Short Treks" up on CBSAA. It's Spock and Number One.
We find out why she is called "Number One" even though that term is more commonly used on merchant vessels than military ships.
I think it's one of the best "Short Treks" so far.
It was, IMHO the most enjoyable Short Trek yet. I'll definitely watch it again.
Soooo, it looks like this is really Star Trek: Andromeda?
But no, "Andromeda" takes place a lot further in the future than the next season of "ST: Discovery" will. It prologs in the year 4864 CE and mostly takes place 300 years later.
These people have no idea what Star Trek is. STD is embarrassment.
Any episode that gives Rebecca Romijn screen time is a great one, IMO.
Fluffy. But a cute little bit of fluff.
For those who managed to resist being absorbed by the CBSAA Collective, look what showed up on my doorstep at lunchtime. These Blu-rays were the same price as not subscribing to CBSAA for a year or so, and include special features. Season 1 is also for sale on Prime Video now. (Too bad I've still got some work to do today...)
