I read on trekbbs.com that this is the final week for STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION on Spike TV.

As of October, no more TNG on Spike.

They're giving VOYAGER an extra hour each day, and repeating the early morning run of DS9 later, at 11am, but Next Generation is GONE.

I'm hoping it's just temporary. (I'd been putting them on DVD, and had only one more season to go. :( )

It still airs on G4 (ch 354 on D*), but I have no idea what season they are up to.

They don't have the ticker on ST:TNG. They do, however, have lots of annoying popups promoting other shows, but so did/does Spike.

:( But why? I like me my ST:TNG reruns.

    And what about DS9?

I hadn't realized that Spike still shared the broadcast rights for TNG.

I remember now that when G4 first got TNG, they shared the rights, which basically ended up sort of like shared custody - G4 got it for nights and weekends, and Spike had it during the day. Of course, I'm not home during the day, so the only place I ever caught TNG eps were on G4.

There is a magical box called a TiVo that will free you from having to be at home when your TV shows air! Have you considered looking into it? ;)

    (sorry -- couldn't resist!)

This is horrible news! TNG was what I have on while doing things during the day, now what will I watch?

Netflix costs (whereas TV recording doesn't) and it doesn't get you your own permanent copy (unless you pirate, which I don't).

If you haven't seen every episode at least once during the approximately 8,933 airings each has had to date, you just really don't want to watch the show. :)

Not in this case. I just want some random ST:NG in Now Playing that I can pull up when I've got some time to kill. Netflixing TV shows is good when you want to do the marathon thing, but it sucks for casual viewing.

I'm as big a TNG, DS9 & VOY fan as anybody out there, but it's had a good run. I don't mind letting it go for awhile. Seems every time I had a chance to flip on Spike, they were on some Riker sans beard, uniforms with no collar, distractingly-soundtracked episode from early in TNG's run. Hard to believe the show ran as much as it did, for as long as it did on Spike to begin with.

Glad they're keeping DS9 around for a bit. As for Voyager...

"C'mon... Big money... No Kazon... STOP!"

Gotta find the sweet spot between the Kazon crap and when the Borg in the porn outfit hijacked the show.

Does this mean there will be more competition for getting TNG discs through Blockbuster Total Access?

Currently finishing up season two.
