Is the Sony T-60 still useful? We have one in perfect condition, but haven't used it since we went to the Series 2 TiVo's a couple of years ago. I guess I could put it on Ebay, but don't know if anyone wants them anymore.

My T60 was still working quite well when I took it out of service. I used it to record conflicts in SD off of the 101 sat. It would make a great receiver for a vacation home. Check eBay for what others may have sold them for.

I agree that the T-60 is a fine piece of equipment. I even have the dish that came with it. It's just that it's missing some of the niceties of the current DVR's Like folders and HD.

I've got one that I'm going to give away. Will Directv still activate them?
Probably not for a new account, but I thought they might activate it on an existing account.

I upgraded my T60 by adding a 120GB drive many years ago. I recently removed that drive and used it to resurrect an older desktop PC. So to get the T60 operational again, the original 40GB drive will need to be reimaged.

Mine would too if I had it hooked up. It has been upgraded to 123 hours. But what am I going to do with it? That is the question.

Use it to solve any scheduling conflicts, albeit in SD.

I have two Philips DSR708's and an R-10 for that. I guess I just have too many TiVo's. :)

I know what you mean. I had the T60 and DSR6000 on my account. And then got the HR10-250 and then the HR20.

Had to cut back, so the SD units were deactivated.

My T60 still works as good as the day I bought it, acutally better because now it has 300 hours vs the 35 it had when I bought it.

I've still got my SAT-T60 "in production"... :)

I let the kids put all of their content on it... Most of my stuff is on the HD-DVRs...

But the SAT-T60 is still as reliable and strong as ever!!!

We started with 2 Sony SAT-T60 DirecTiVo units just after they became available for sale. One died a few years back, the other is still going strong. All stock, no upgrades or mod's.
