    Hi,

I've just sold my TiVo with lifetime subs, do I need to inform Sky CS at all about this? I presume not as it will continue as normal to dial up and work for the new owner?

    Thanks.

By SKY, I assume you mean Tivo Customer Services

You don't have to, but you might want to tell the buyer to call em to give
them his details. It might help him out in the future for any support issues.

    Yes I mean TiVo CS.

Ok thats what I thought, I will let the buyer decide - don't want to phone up and then find the lifetime sub. gets cancelled in anyway.

If it has a proper lifetime sub it won't get cancelled.

The account will be temporarily closed until the new owner phones in to register it, but the sub will not be cancelled.

When I sold mine, I phoned them and they said they had flagged the lifetime sub as ready for transfer for when the buyer phoned up with their details.

    I wouldn't...

I am sure when someone phones up to transfer, they just click around the screen and go along with the caller for a few minutes, then say "thanks" and end the call. I am sure they probably don't do anything.
