Wow Drake cannot sing for crap. How in the world is this guy such a star? He's basically just monotonically chanting. I will say that his acting was quite good; he didn't seem to be obviously reading cue cards and he was loose and engaging during sketches.

What was going to happen during the ANW sketch was obvious but I chuckled anyway. And usually I FF through Baby Body Businessman but this week I thought it was pretty funny.

Usually I'm "meh" about Leslie Jones on WU, but I thought she was hilarious last night. And usually I love Olya Povlotsky but she didn't do it for me this week. Jay Pharoah's impressions weren't quite as good as usual either. I went to bed after WU so I didn't see the last few sketches.

Overall a "not bad" show with an OK guest star but a lame musical guest :D.

    I completely agree with you.
Then he started to surprise me in some of the sketches.
One of my complaints about SNL recently is sometimes the guest host becomes a supporting character to the regulars. Drake held his own - especially in the car rental sketch and the Dennis Walls sketch where he kinda walked away with it.
    I was impressed.

Singing wise - which is supposed to be his claim to fame. Not so much.

    Worst show in some time.

I had about three laughs all night.

I have never seen any of those characters before. I did LOL a few times during the Baby Business Man.

You must not watch very often. I would bet Olya Povlotsky is probably the most common recurring WU character over the past few seasons.

Decent episode. Drake is a decent actor and can hold his own with the cast. But like the others, I don't get what people see in his singing. But then again, I usually FF through all the musical performances, so he's not really singing for me anyway.

Drake is a rapper who can sing a little. He is not a singer who raps.

"Drake" started as an actor on Degrassi: The Next Generation, so he can act. He became a rapper after leaving the show.
