    Cold open kind of blah.

I thought the monolog was a train wreck.
Even Jennifer Lawrence was stumbling over the cue cards and kinda sounded drunk. But she's Jennifer Lawrence and I love her, so she was okay.
Woody... okay, I never really liked him, so that was just awful.

The sitcom ad was kind of funny to me.

But the MTV skit. I actually kind of laughed with the "and she's my daughter." Then Cecily's delivery with "Can't shake hands with a ghost."- I had to stop what I was working on for a minute to recover from LOL and to post this.

    Oops. I meant 11/15/2014.
    Oh well.

Yeah "The Real Taylor Swift" was funny.

I must admit I had my first laugh out loud moment during SNL in a long time

    "Who is this elf?"

Didn't make it very far into the episode. Might return to it, might not. It was painfully un-funny. Even in the dating game sequence, I couldn't last despite how much of the time I spend admiring Cecily Strong's weight loss whenever she's on screen.

I enjoyed that MTV sketch, the guys reactions were great :) Had to stop about half way through (and had to watch on Hulu with it's lengthy ad breaks :()

I enjoyed this episode. The only one I've enjoyed this season. Several LOL (or at least giggle moments) for me.

this ep was watchable, through to the last skit. i won't say it's the only ep i've enjoyed this season, but it ranks at the top.

The new Weekend Update guy has messed up his lines in every single episode, hasn't he?

Kate McKinnon was super cute in this episode, and I laughed out loud when Woody said he "dejaculated" in the "last call at the bar" skit with Kate. And all the guys did great NY/Boston accents in the bar skit about crack. Good episode. Bad opening, but the show got better as it went along.

PS: My crush for Cecily is back. Va-va-va-VOOM! Loved the MTV dating game skit.

I recall there being one good episode that he had had. I just don't remember which one it was.

The two weekend update guys have zero charisma. You can only get away with the obnoxious "I'M ABOUT TO TELL A JOKE" grin when you're Tina, Seth, or Amy, and just barely.

Overall, a big bounce back from the last shows awfulness. Weekend Update is rapidly going from the one part of the show not to skip to a Justin Bieber as musical guest. The current guys are so wrong together, they should be the next hosts of the American Top Gear.

Totally agree ... except that Jesda gave Seth too much credit IMHO!

Based on your avatar, I'm guessing you're more Cecily's type than Kate's.
