Well... that was um... not great I guess. I didn't laugh a whole lot during that.

The cold open was ok, the monologue was weird, the crowd stuff seemed really off, like those people had no idea that they were going to be in the skit.

The timing was all off on Elegant Evenings, everyone stepping on everyone's lines.

I guess Chonk was the big winner for me for the night, not that that is saying a lot.

Holy crap the Burger King skit was just a huge turd, just how in the hell that got on air I have no idea.

They'll sometimes keep a crappy sketch if they spent a lot of resources on preparing for it, rather than just eat the cost with no return.

Building the limo prop probably cost enough to keep them from scrapping the sketch.

I wonder how many people caught that the hamster sketch was...

...a Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf parody.

I haven't watched SNL regularly since the 70s, so I have no clue who the current cast members are. Tonight, I was flipping through my live channels and this came on, in the middle of the Weekend Update segment. Do they still call it that?

Anyway, when the woman making random comments mentioned that Billy Bush might be owed millions of dollars, by NBC, I was LMAO. Not a lot of chuckles from the rest of the show.

What was the deal wth the hat that Bruno Mars was wearing? In every scene he was in?

I thought the hamster sketch was pretty funny - and I did know the parody reference.

I also kind of liked the limo sketch.

Most of the rest was a disappointment - doing a parody of the Great British Bake Off could have been brilliant but it was almost like none of the cast had ever seen the show...

I did not realize Melanianade was a spoof of Beyonce's Lemonade (I haven't seen it) - but I wasn't feeling it. I feel the Melania moments work better.

Usually I hate the character add on's during the News but I liked both this week.

Not a fan of Bruno Mars new album based on that. Bruno in shorts? That hurt my eyes.

Michael Che's line about Michael Jacksons mistakes, his terrible album being almost as bad as what he did to them kids. That one made me LOL.

When I first saw the two guys dressed up in the Elegant Evenings Escort Service, sketch, I thought they were going to be Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.

    That would have been funny.

    The sketch wasn't.

I've been an SNL viewer and fan since its inception. Even once in a while, I get a glimpse of "funny" but it's time to put the show and Loren Michaels out to pasture.

There are still some great cameos and characters but not enough to fill 90 minutes.

    Time to end the misery!

Man that was awful although I got a little bit of a chuckle out of the Ann Arbor Short Film Festival. And color me shocked that 90% of Weekend Update was spent bagging on Trump. The writers are going to actually have to start being creative again on the cold open and WU after the election is over.

I liked the Trump/Clinton and weekend update part, but the rest was just terrible.

They can do better and have.

Why yes, yes you did! :D

What are you trying to say? Because I've watched since 1975 I can't tell funny from not funny? That was not funny in the majority. It has been this way for some time. There are a few bright spots but not enough for ninety minutes!

His new album is titled 24K Magic. His hat had a big XXIV and a little K. Coincidence?

Laughed at Chonk and though his music isn't for me, I think Bruno Mars may be the best musical guest in SNL history. That's it! The rest was skip worthy. I used to skip to weekend update, but they managed to kill that too.

No, i was saying that when I saw your avatar, the first thing that popped into my mind was the HDN album cover. It's very iconic and when I see a head shot with someone in a black turtleneck with back to camera, it reminds me of the day I bought that album back in 1964.

It's also a very prominent shot from the end credits of the movie.

    Interesting!

I should have placed a sarcasm emoji at the end of that paragraph. Didn't mean to snap at you.

The picture is part of a full family portrait. We'd been in the studio for hours and me turning my back to the camera was the least offensive part of the full shot!
