sounded fine to me too. sorry you had some difficulty. good episode. like the female character they had. interesting turn in events with the relationships tonight. don't want to spoil anything so I will leave my comments for another day.

Sound was fine. Closed captioning, however, was extremely sporadic -- no more than 25% of the dialogue was displayed.

Black Canary probably blew out your speakers in the opening scene.

 

Fox would have a hard time with a new CW show

 

My local CW HD feed was screwed up for this too - and I'm pretty sure it was CW and not my HD TiVo, because this show is the only one that was screwed up and I've seen the same problem during an episode of Gossip Girl (which was "fixed" when the feed dropped to SD). Audio was clear, but well out of sync with video. It's incredibly annoying - and only CW seems to have this problem.

 

I had a couple of sound issues with my DirecTV feed, but nothing I wouldn't chalk up to DTV's usual issues.

I haven't watched yet, but sounds like the local CW in these parts.

They constantly have problems with Smallville in HD.
Nothing at all, picture or sound, upconverted SD not HD, no sound, out of sync sound, every week this happens.

I'm glad Smallville is first, so they can get the problems fixed before Supernatural airs.

I don't know if it's just Smallville that perplexes them so much, or every 7pm primetime program that's in HD, as Smallville is the only one I TiVo.

It really looks like they could spin a Juniors series off of this if they wanted to. That might be interesting.

 

Watching it now on DirecTV 385. No problem other than The CW Washington doesn't deliver the show in window box format like The CW Baltimore did. I'll reserve judgement on the show itself until later.

 

I thought Dinah Lance was much more attractive than Black Canary. The punk blonde cut and painted mask didn't work for me.

 

Although I frequently lament the fact that better than half the world's women seem to be bottle blondes these days, my opinion runs counter to yours in this case. I did find myself wondering what Chloe's natural colour was, however. I know Allison Mack is German, so she may be a natural blonde, but Chloe on the other hand...

 

Could still be an HD problem.

I know WLWC-CW28 in Providence RI downconverts the HD signal for the SD transmitter/cable feed.

I wasn't watching intently as I was TiVo'ing it at home for later viewing, but it didn't seem there was any audio problems.

I was thinking the same thing. Have Chloe's eyebrows always been that dark? Kinda ruins the look.
