UGH! dumb episode but at least we got to see the new girl in her bikini...
You can almost watch the 1st 10 minutes of this show, and last 5 and you get the gist of the whole episode.
WTG Jimmy... Kera Yes!, Cloe No.
Did anyone catch the neat respect for continuity on the part of the writers?
Lex says to Kara 'I know you're the one who saved me. You ripped the roof off my car."
Lex wasn't in his car in the recent save. He was cuffed in the back of a police car.
It was six years ago when CLARK ripped the roof off Lex's car.
Was Lex suggesting it was Kara who did it back then? No. Lex himself said he believes it was Clark back then, and Kara this time.
It was two episodes ago, and they couldn't even keep straight what happened?
" I wasted the some of the best years of my life in a cryogenic tomb"
Uhhh.... I don't think that's how it works....
I laughed out loud at that one.
I was frozen and wasted years of my life...
For a fluff episode it was bad.
And all Clark and Lana do is hug?
I'll probably watch this show till its off the air but geez they sure have some stink bombs!
Pure, unadulterated dreck.
It was as bad as I thought it would be.
For several years I've suspected the writers have been hiring kids from the nearest high school to write some of the scenes for the show. Some of the use of language is so bizarre, as if it's someone's IDEA of how people really talk to each other.
I can't quite recall what episode it's from, but in a certain scene Clark was talking to Lana, and he used the phrase "Now there's not".
NOBODY says that!!!
You'd say "Now there isn't."
And I love the way they DIDN'T explain how Kara got cleared, and the law ended up believing the two meteor freaks were the real theives.
Where's the old SMALLVILLE LEDGER website when you need it? (And all those nice little articles that gave additional offscreen info that explaioned the plotholes and actually helped things make sense.) The one thing that saved the show at times like this and they stopped updating the site the summer after the second meteor shower. Now we get to enjoy the plotholes with NO explanation.
And no one's going to recognize Kara Kent when Supergirl debuts later.......
Dean Cain in next weeks episode.
This episode was Flash Gordon bad.
And what's worse in her case is everyone knows her name is Kara.
Supergirl's name (Kara Zor-El) ends up as much known to the public as Superman's is.
So Clark introduces her with her REAL name? (Funny how they've managed to keep the Kal-El name disconnected from Clark, but don't do it for her.)
Then there's also the obvious problem with Clark's face known in SMALLVILLE and elsewhere.
I figure whatever method they use to fix that will be used for Kara too. (Traditionally she wore a brunette wig, or used some other method to instantly re-color her hair in her "secret identity".)
I suspect something like a planet-wide mind-wipe/revision from Jor-El, so that Clark's face ends up remembered as having glasses, and Kara's hair as brunette.
Old photos will also need to be doctored.
I think you're giving way more thought to this than it deserves.
Wouldn't her name just be Kara El?
Well, for starters Kara isn't a name that says "Hey, look at me, I come from another planet!"...
I knew that Lana found/figured out that Clark had powers, but I thought she was under the impression that he was a meteor freak. When and how did she learn about Krypton?
I love Chloe. She's my favorite Smallville girl by far (2nd being Ma Kent, mmmmm.... redhead milf ), but sweet sassy molassy that girl needs to work on her skin if she's going to be shot in HD.
It will be fun to see the flying skeleton with a cape one day.
Uhhh because he told her that in the season finale last season... Before she supposedly got blown up Actually it was right before she married Lex.
I've been thinking the same thing ever since I started watching in HD.
High-def also is not kind to Lois, although Kara and Lana's complexions don't suffer much.
