I'll admit to being shocked when they cut to the painting and the guy's face had turned around.

Did anybody not expect the corpse that Jenny was extracting the bullets from to come back to life?

I wish Katrina would go away.

I never would have recognized Michelle Trachtenberg as Abigail Adams.

I read a story somewhere recently that Fox has asked the show's producers to make changes to this show. Fox wants the show to become more monster of the week. That the current format is hard for a new audience to get into.

Although the weird thing is, that story (at least the version I saw) said they wanted it to be more like Season 1, which was pretty serialized itself...I honestly can't tell much difference. So I guess maybe they're looking for minor tweaks rather than a serious overhaul?

You'd think with on-demand, Netflix, Hulu etc... it'd be easier for an audience to follow a more serialized season.

Is this a Fox produced show, or something they buy from another studio?

Because if it's something they buy, then they really don't care about viewers other than the ones that watch live on on OTA TV.

I liked this show last season but I'm finding each episode really arduous to get through. I'm about 6 episodes behind and each episode seems to be the same without anything to interest me except the occasional history tie-in.

Plus the whole demon/devil thing is getting grating. Why don't they just kill Ichabod and Abby? It seems like the horseman and Walter Bishop can do it at any time, let alone any of the other demons/head demon. It's like Seth Green in the Austin Powers movies, "Let's just go get a gun and shoot em." I'm having trouble getting past the all powerful bad guys who don't just kill the good guys.

Except that those sites help a viewer catch up and be willing to start watching live.

They've definitely lost the "lightning in a bottle" they had during season one, every week I'd blink and the episode was over and I'd be thinking "I can't believe they pulled off zombie George Washington"

They were just so enthusiastic in their story telling, they seems to race through every episode without regard to the damage/devastation behind them, this year it feels like they lost that feeling. I don't think it's the addition of more arc-related story, it's a change in the way they're telling the story, in most shows it would be part of changing showrunners but I don't think they had a shake up on SH.

That's just about every good guy vs bad guy tv show.

Getting rid of Katrina would help. The marital strife between Ichabod and Katrina is tiresome. They have no chemistry together. I'm definitely not a relationship "shipper" and don't really want to see Ichabod and Abby start making googly eyes at each other but Ichabod has a ton more chemistry with her than with his wife. Plus, one out of time person is enough.

They've definitely lost something - some of it might be too much Katrina angst. And yeah, the storylines don't seem so straight up bonkers anymore. It's been a struggle to watch the last few.

For me I'm not sure it's the Katrina storyline I have a problem with, or if I just don't like her acting.

I miss "Walter." Is he gone for good? Can't they turn him into a good guy and bring him back?

I love the scenes when Ichabad is trying to figure out modern stuff. I'd watch a whole episode for just a couple of those scenes. ;)

Leavened by the occasional scene where he's unexpectedly comfortable with modern stuff!

Guess I'm in the minority cuz I kinda like Katrina -- totally hooked on the opening when she puts her arms up and approaches Ichy. However, I am also tired of their marital strife and wish they had more chemistry.

I am tired of their strife, but I like Katrina too. Maybe I just have a crush on Katia Winter. She is beautiful. I want to see a 6/7 person team band together to fight the monster of the week. I'm a bit tired of the Moloch arch.

No thread on the latest ep, so I'll post here.

I thought it was pretty funny, and contemporary, after Crane sang his "sailor" Karaoke song that he came back to the others and said that maybe should have sung "about the bass, about the bass"

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not sure I like the Katrina storyline, but I like to look at her. She's hawt. :)

I have liked the last 2 episodes more. The dude in the painting and the Fort Knox guy. I'm glad they have gotten away from the horseman story line for a while. I don't mind they sprinkling in the long running story every so often.
