Oh, so that's why the original Star Trek, with only 79 episodes, was never in syndication. Wait a minute...

While 100 is a "nice round number" for syndication purposes (syndicators do like multiples of 5, since they tend to air five days a week), it's not "necessary". The Honeymooners was syndicated quite a bit in the early 1980s, even though there were only 39 episodes (the "lost" episodes were still lost at that point). F Troop also did rather well in syndication with only 65.

I have two friends who were nearly obsessed with it. And the kind of guys you wouldn't expect it of. So I always smile when I hear about it.

I have both seasons on DVD. It had lots of good parodies. I think my favorite was the parody of Robocop which was titled "Hammeroid". :)

I don't remember this show at all. Looks like something I would have liked too.

I vaguely remember this show. I think it was on Friday nights. It was a lightweight comedy that i half paid attention to. I remember liking it slightly less than Get Smart.

This was a great show. One of my favorite parts was when Sledge kept eating the doughnut that the chief got a suspect's fingerprints on.

IIRC, the actor who played Sledge actually hated his character, because he despised violence.

It was on Friday night for the first season up against Miami Vice and Dallas and moved around all over the place during the second season.

I took in a couple of episodes last night for old time's sakes. I didn't realize how cheesy it was...I wonder how well it would do if it was a little more serious, but still Sledge being a maverick.

I had my son rolling in laughter, though. I think I'll watch some more this weekend!

It was on the pilot episode, but removed from there on.

I don't mind laugh tracks for sitcoms, but this show...although not exactly a serious show, still doesn't qualify as a sitcom.
