Anyone else remember Sledge Hammer? Was great show but I have never seen it in syndication, if not enough were made for daily showing METV or Antenna TV could show on weekends.

I vaguely remember it - even after looking it up.

There were only 42 episodes ever made and it's my understanding that at least 100 have to be made for syndication, which is why it's never shown. That and the fact that it wasn't that good!

My brother and I loved that show when we were younger.

When I moved to Japan, the only English TV station would show all of the cheap/horrible tv shows from all of the English speaking countries.
In our third year there, it showed Sledge Hammer.
It was just as funny as the first time around.
Apparently, my brother and I don't have good taste in TV Show's.

It was available for syndication at some point -- in the spring of 1996, when I was interning at the UPN affiliate in Chicago, they were showing it once a week (Saturday nights).

Wasn't this the show that the producers thought was going to be canceled so in the finale they blew everyone up with a nuclear bomb but then it got renewed?

Yup. Then the second season was supposedly "the early years", but they never really stuck to it consistently.

I thought that it was one of the better (and under appreciated) comedies of the 80's

The pilot is hilarious to just about anyone who's seen Dirty Harry and the season "cliffhanger" was brilliant.

Loved this show. I even got it through Netflix a few years ago to see it again.

I bought season 1 on DVD because I remembered it from when I was a kid. Loved it.

I find it to be impossible to play any of the videos on the linked webpage which you provided.

What sort of magic are you using?
