Skip mode shows up but doesn't work

    For the last couple of days the "Skip" indicator is showing up next to the recordings but it doesn't work. Nothing happens when I press the "D" button to do a skip. The "Skip" shows up but nothing is working when pressing it? Anyone else have this happen and what did you do to correct it? I've just deleted all my one passes and re-created all of them again to see if that works.

    No problem with skip here though I use channel up not d.

    Which specific shows ?

    I've had the same issue. Some work some don't, even though skip symbol is showing. Anyone know of solution?

    I have never had a program with the flag fail to skip. I also use channel up. I have heard of instances of deletion and recovery working, as well as waiting a day. I will say SM is not consistent for a given program (The Late Show), and how it works is a mystery. I know it has something to do with closed captions, and I have seen long political ads kill it.

    I finally figured out why the "Skip" mode wasn't working on my Bolt. Since there is the long break during the summer where I didn't record much I hadn't made any modifications. When the new 2016 TV season started I was getting lots of recordings where the first minute or so was missing so I started to modify the season passes to start recording a minute early. It seems that if you modify the season pass in any way it causes the "Skip" mode to stop working. I noticed this last season but thought by now TiVo would have fixed this. Just another reason why I think I will cancel the service after the free year is up.

    I have a few 1P that start early and several that end late. SM has never been affected. I can say The Late Show is 10% SM, and The Tonight Show is 90% SM. But that my feed.

    I use antenna only so this might affect it where the cable doesn't?

    Possible. Try the two programs I mentioned. CBS and NBC. See if you get the same results. A 1P isn't required. Just select them from the guide for a week. Add 2 minutes to the end of each.
