Anyone have a go-to site for the details of an individual episode? It's easy to find ongoing cast info, episode summaries, etc (wiki and more has all that), but sometimes I like to see who a certain guest star was. Or other minor details.

    Thanks.

Thanks. That has some episode info, but nothing on guest stars. That's the primary info I'd like to find.

yep, the good data is behind an extra click on IMDB. Use the "See full cast & crew »" link in the top section or the "See full cast »" link under the main cast from a specific episode page.

Another good one! I just tried a few shows, and the links had guest info on every one. Thanks!

I already go down the TV-info-overload rabbit hole far too often. Now I can live there! o_O:eek:

Epguides is usually my go-to site when I see a guest star and can't remember who they are, or what I just saw them on.

Epguides is a great resource. I visit the site so often that I have it as a favorite on my toolbar in Chrome. :)

We usually use IMDB, but sometimes use epguides.

Another one. How have I not known about these...

It's funny (funny? ironic? head-slappingly stupid?), because I use Futon Critic every day. Every. Day. I usually do a quick glance in the morning, to see what regular series I watch have new episodes that night.

    Thanks.

Isn't checking you Tivo to do list easier?

If you are serious about it, you really need to do both, and then get to the bottom of any differences .

I guess I'm "less serious" about it nowadays, since I do still check to do list, but usually to nuke stray recordings (from too broad wishlists, which I have a lot of), and a zillion tuners so I have to do far less manual rejiggering to still record all shows (most with padding).

Not really. I'm usually sitting in front of my laptop in the morning, I don't even have a TV on until later in the day. But more importantly...
    ^This.

My process is once a week, I print the FC list of upcoming shows for the next couple weeks. Then I cross-check with both my TiVo and my DirecTV (diff locations). Both are actually pretty good about it, I rarely have a miss. But that's also how I'm reminded to add new shows to the SP lists, on both units.

Now, how do the new shows get on the Futon Critic list in the first place? Once every couple weeks, I check Metacritic for any new shows in the next 3-4 weeks. Any I want to try, I add to FC.

I'm really OCD about my TV watching.

Whenever I'm watching TV or movies, I almost always end up surfing the IMDb app to see info about cast members. If you keep a mobile device nearby while watching, I'd recommend the app, as it's frequently easier to navigate than the website.

Yeah, except the UI of the app really sucks compared to the website...

You don't need to be in front of your TV.. you can check the to do list with the phone app.

Wow, you're way more OCD than I am. My "PILOT|PREMIERE -SEASON" wishlist catches most premieres of new shows.. I just added one the other day (with the ios app), because it wasn't named pilot.
