Can TiVo stream the Showtime add-on for Hulu with no problems on the TiVo Roamio?

I just picked up Showtime on Hulu for the new Twin Peaks, I can test it shortly, but I don't see why not. Just appears as another channel in the app...

Tried it this morning. It works on my Roamio. I was able to see Showtime programs. What I did not see is a live channel feed, just the shows on demand basically.

The Hulu FAQ answers the previous concern...

Thanks. I plan on getting Hulu soon and just didn't want any nasty surprises.

    From the Hulu website...
Since Roamio only supports HBOGO (which requires an HBO subscription through a MVPD) the answer would be no.

But Roamio does support Hulu. I think the quote you provided is for people who want to watch HBO through HBO NOW instead of Hulu.

Looks like "HBO on Hulu" is only available via the Hulu app on a limited number of platforms, at present, with more on the way. The HBO NOW option is in addition to direct access via Hulu, to supplement the current Hulu app device support. At least that's my read of the text here.

Stream HBO on Hulu at home or on the go on these supported devices:

    - Apple iPhone and iPad (running iOS 10 or newer)
    - Android phones and tablets (running 5.0 or newer)
    - Apple TV (4th generation)
    - Xbox One
    - Chromecast
    - More devices coming soon

You can also create an HBO NOW profile and watch HBO on demand content using the HBO NOW app. This way you can enjoy HBO on additional devices supported by HBO NOW.

p.s. Looks like it may be similar to the PS Vue arrangement.

The number of devices has been updated but still no TiVo

    - Apple iPhone & iPad (running iOS 10 or newer)
    - Android phones & tablets (running 5.0 or newer)
    - Roku
    - Fire TV & Fire Stick
    - Apple TV (4th generation)
    - Chromecast
    - Xbox One & Xbox 360
    - PlayStation 3 & PlayStation 4
    - Samsung (select TV models)
    - Hulu.com using a Mac or PC browser
    - More devices coming soon

I'm thinking of getting a Roku just so I can view HBO via Hulu on my TV, but it seems like a waste of money. I could connect an HDMI from my PC to my TV, but that's a hassle.

It seems like Tivo will not support apps that would directly compete with the cable provider. I would guess there will never be a YouTube TV app, for example.
