I've had my TiVo Elite for about a month & it has been working fine, so this is not an activation problem. Today, out of the blue, the channels do not match what is playing on the screen. For example, channel 8 is wchs and the show Revenge is on that channel. The tivo channel guide says it is channel 8 and it says that channel 8 is wchs, and this is all correct. The problem is that Revenge is not what is playing on the tv. It's not missing, some other show is playing on channel 8. And this is not just one channel. It's all the channels. They're all mixed up. It makes no sense. Has anyone else had this problem & gotten it resolved? Or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

If every single channel is doing it might be some glitch where it is using wrong time zone, try redoing setup.

Have you figured out what channel it was actually showing yet?

Was it a uniform screw up where it said it was on channel 8 and was actually on channel 7 and tuning to 9 put it on 8 and tuning to 10 put it on 9, etc.?

Is is possible that what you got might have been 8.2 or 8.3 instead of 8.1, and the same thing on the other channels?

WCHS is the ABC affiliate in the OP's area, which is in the eastern time zone.

If the TiVo was tuned to channel 8 at 10pm on Wednesday night, then, regardless of what time zone in which the TiVo thought itself to be physically located, and regardless of what time the TiVo thought it was, the OP should have seen "Revenge".

Except that this past Wednesday night, December 14th, 2011, it was preempted by some Barbara Walters special that started at 9:30pm.:)

Now if tuning to channel 8 got the OP NBC or CBS or Fox or CW or PBS or whatever programming instead, then there's still a mystery/problem.

Especially if that Baba Wawa show was on a channel it shouldn't have been.
