We've seen how horrendous the company has done so far up till this point. I can't do any worse than them, can I?

If I do buy the company then what are some of the changes you would like me to make within the first year of ownership?

No, it's one of his lackeys. The Man wouldn't waste his time on a piddly ass little company like Tivo.

Fire the TiVo Board of Directors whose members are the sources of the TiVo problems before they hire another CEO to finish taking down the company!

Well, its CEO presumably is being sidelined, with the coming TiVo acquisition/merger (or whatever it is).

Sell it to or make deal with Charter/Spectrum. I believe Spectrum has very poor DVRs so you would have millions of units needed. They could integrate cable cards into the box to make a smooth user experience.

Make deals with streaming services to allow recording of streams so that play back controls works really good.

I was thinking original content not sure what though. Thinking a reality type show since that seems to be all the rage now a days.:)

How quick they forget..a lesson is in order.
    The Man
The Man is the head of "the establishment" put in place to "bring us down." Though nobody has physically seen "the man," he is assumed to be a male caucasian between the ages of 25-40 and is rumored to have a substantial amount of acquired wealth, presumably acquired by exploiting those whom his "establishment" is "keeping down."
Ok they got the age range wrong :D. And is this era..Da man don't wear no mask..

However, you fire the TiVo Board of Directors who did the hire in the first place, which follows a line of questionable CEO hires.

In a nutshell, get out of the hardware business (maybe with the exception of the remote) and compete with Plex, Channels DVR, etc. Port the TiVo DVR software to the various OS, and possibly NAS, platforms. Support third party tuners. Develop apps for the major streaming devices/platforms. Offer a TiVo style compatible remote for the major streaming devices.

Personally, I would pay more for a comparible TiVo offering than what I've paid for Plex or Channels. And, if I could replace the horrendous Apple TV remote with a TiVo remote. Nirvana!

Sh*tty data, ads before shows, a new UI that's worse than the old one, and dying business model. Sounds like a good investment, go for it! :D

Well I have 10 billion dollars I'm willing to allocate towards this company. Would that be enough to right this ship?

I would think for 10 billion, you could buy a ship which is already seaworthy.

Is the base of paying dvr customers enough income to allow Tivo to continue supporting DVR or is the death of our boxes an established fact?
