Wow! I just knew he'd be back at some point!

Welcome back Jimmy, Jack, Steve - whoever the hell you are!

I always got a kick whenever they showed the bumper stickered laptop because one of the stickers said I love Justin. AKA Jimmy.

This is an episode thread. That happened in the episode. It is fair game to talk about. If you do not want to be spoiled on an episode, maybe you shouldn't read the episode thread.

    Ditto. Read the rules buddy.

Great ending. I love the tension with Sammi and Sheila. They will be a great odd couple next season.

Will Fiona get involved with her boss? Emmy Rossum is hilarious she said on twitter that her and JDM will not be having "ghost sex".

Will Ian get the help he needs? Maybe they will need to bring Monica in to convince him to get on some meds.

The Ian story line really has me curious. I am curious where they are going to take that. It should be real interesting to see where Jimmy fits in next season. And who was he with.

Love the conversation in the bar when Mickey came in. Nobody cares who you sleep with, have a beer on me.

Absolutely fantastic season!!! One of their best. And a great season finale. In fact it could have easily been a series finale. I was almost afraid that it was a series finale - are we sure its renewed for another season.

I was always 100% sure Jimmy / Steve / Jack was not dead and that he was going to be coming back. But since I never posted that I can't say "I told you so!"

Too bad for Mickey. He finally seems to come to grips about being gay, comes out about it and even starts to show some real affection to Ian, and now Ian is almost catatonic.

I loved when Sammi and Sheila were fighting and then Shelia says that she would not be able to adopt the kids, and Sammi stops fighting for a few seconds to say she was sorry and really seemed to mean it.

I was wondering it they would leave this season with Fiona still in jail and I was glad that they at least got her out. But was it realistic that the probation officer (played very well by Regina King - I loved her in Southland) would drive her all the way back to home and get her a job. I don't know?

I was hoping when Frank takes his first drink after the transplant that he would throw the rest of the booze away. But of course he didn't!!! I guess without drunk Frank there would be a large chunk of the show missing!

Anyway its a great show and I will sorely miss it!!!

Some interesting generational alignments and becoming's happening here:

    Carl becoming Frank
    Ian becoming Monica
    Debbie becoming Fiona
Lip becoming Fiona and possibly a non-Gallagher by succeeding in college.
Sheila becoming a parent again (If she takes in Sammi).
    Mickey becoming real!

Wasn't Jimmy's companion his arranged wife? We can guess that she learned better English by now.

Mickey's refusing to let Ian get treatment is not going to go well. Mickey has no say on Ian until he marries Ian, and Mickey is already married.

If Frank really keeps drinking it wouldn't be long until he was dying again. I say the next season will have a whole new Frank staying mostly sober.

In the real Chicago, where Fiona got the job is quite a ways away from her home, although it is near the L. She lives near southwest and the Riviera in Uptown is mid-north. It would be about an hour of traveling.

So I saw they put the bracelet back on Fiona does that mean she is back on probation for the remainder of the 90 days?

    It appears.

But Fiona should go with the program this time.

Not unless it was a different actress.
I don't know who played his wife, but the actress in the car with him was Dichen Lachman, probably most recognized from Dollhouse, Being Human, and Last Resort.

It mentioned that in the season intro when they showed Jimmy getting on the yacht that we heard a gunshot that we did not hear at the end of last year.

I am wondering if they changed their minds or that the scenario will be that somebody else got whacked or that they will fugget about it.

Just before we saw him I was just thinking "Wow, I can't believe we went an entire season without really readdressing any of the Jimmy/Steve story line!"

Then, boom, there a guy in shadowy profile in a car outside the Galliger house. "Nevermind" :D

No, I don't think so. The woman in the car didn't look anything like Jimmy / Steve / Jack's wife. Also she spoke perfect English which his wife did not. Plus if it was his original wife why would she call him Jack. I don't remember whether the wife called him Jimmy or Steve but it was definitely NOT Jack!

They did a great job making us wonder what Frank was going to do there. Not that we should have questioned Frank's actions... of course the name of the show is Shameless! :)

I'm surprised that Sheila wants children again. I mean....Karen....yikes.

I thought she was more fitted to the running the Hospice like she did a few years back.
