    Hi all,

I'm going to be traveling and am not willing to go 3 months without my tivo!

I will be setting up direc tv and tivo in my motorhome for the very first time.
I will be getting a verizon aircard for the laptop.

I will not have a phone line available so will
need to set up tivo to work without a phone line.

Please help with suggestions, ideas or appropriate links to help me make
    this work.

    Thanks in advance.

    Susan

What model is your TiVo? (Standalone or DirecTV with TiVo)

I'd suggest that you get a DirecTV DVR, then the phone connection isn't needed, except for the initial setup.

I have 5 to choose from. They are all standalone Tivo units.

From what I've read, most people who have used TiVo prefer it to
DirecTV's DVR so I'd prefer to stick with one of my TiVo's :)

Share the internet connection on your laptop over wireless, and get a wireless adapter for the TiVo. Or if they are close enough, just connect them via ethernet.

If you used a DirecTiVo, no phone or network connection would be needed at all.
