Same here, can't checkout.
same here. was going to go pick it up. doesn't go forward after hitting "continue".
Ditto. And, although it shows stock in stores, if you select "pick up at store" as an option, all the stores show "unavailable".
And, since you can't get past the initial checkout screen to actually place the order, it doesn't matter anyway ...
Well, their problems cost them a sale...I ordered it through CC online, and estimated delivery is this Friday.
I wonder if those BB coupons I get now and then (like the 10% off ones) will work on an S3? I know they used to work on the older TiVo boxes.
I called the local Best Buy (I have a gift certificate I wanted to use) and they did NOT have them in stock even though the web site lists them as in stock. So, I guess when they don't let you finish checking out with in store pickup selected, that's why. He also said he had "no clue" when they would be coming in. Guess I'll have to order from Tivo.
when you use the "choose store" in the cart checkout it seems to give real availibility. That first screen is full of it
Yep, MichaelK appears to be correct. And I REALLY wanted one today.
You can also go to tivo.com and get it
[Kiddie temper tantrum] BUT I WANTED ONE NOW!!!!! :: Stomps feet ::
NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!![/Kiddie temper tantrum]
BB lost the opportunity to sell one to me because of the web ordering goof. Went to CC Web site and was able to order S3 with delivery on 9/13 (2 days sooner than BB), and the Express shipping was $25 less. Have already received shipping confirmation, so I will have this baby waiting for me when I get home from work tomorrow. Am kicking myself that I forgot to use the CC online 10% discount coupon (which I just used last month when I purchased my 60A2000 HDTV). Oh well, in the past, I have sometimes been able to get them to price match a coupon. Hopefully I'll be able to curtail my excitement long enought to get some work done tomorrow!
The initial delivery date on mine from CC was Friday, but now they say estimated delivery tomorrow. I'll believe it when I have it in my grubby little hands.
Best Buy REALLY screwed up on this, especially for full MSRP...but....then, that's really nothing new.
I know it's been said before, but don't buy at retail if you're planning on transferring a lifetime subscription:
TiVo® Series3TM HD DVR purchase required by 12/31/2006 and activation of the DVR is required by 01/31/2007. Series3 HD DVR must be purchased through TiVo.com. DVRs purchased through retail channels are not eligible.
I went thru the same thing on the web site - was "available' until I tried to purchase it. ..insterestingly - now it won't come up at all. I called Best Buy here in Henderson, NV. They said they will have them Sept. 17th
You answered my question, I need to buy online for the lifetime service extension.......
I REALLY want this, but its alot of $$.......
I think I will buy it anyway. I just love the TIVO.
How much is it at Best Buy? Cheaper than online at tivo.com?
Nope, $799.99, just like every other retailer that has it listed so far. I would expect that to remain the case for at least a month or two, though someone like Amazon could surprise us (and coupons / gift certificates can always change the equation too).
Best Buy Tivo Series3 page is all buggy at this point. Once you to try add to cart, it returns an error page.
Anyone else experience this?
Yes, I got the same problem, that's why I had to ask how much it cost!
I visited one of the local BB stores this evening, and there were no S3s to be seen. They checked the computer for me, and said the earliest they would have them is the 17th.
