    Hi all,

I have a series 1 direc tivo that I upgraded the hard drive to a segate 400gb about 1 year ago or so. Now it is stuck in a endless GSOD. Before it actually died completly it would reboot every so often but would still work. No "bad" hard drive noise is heard from it.

What are the chances I can recover the programs to move to a new drive?
What is the best way to go about this to try to save the programs and get it up and running again?

Check out WinMFS, it was able to copy a 300gb(already expanded twice) to a new 500gb(DB35.3) in 3~hours for me this past Saturday.

I was having problem with the 300gb not booting correctly and when it did, it would hang at 60% while trying to get a DTV signal.

I was able to keep all my recordings.

Just an idea in case the GSOD is caused by a bad spot on the HD...
