I was recently given a series 1 Direct Tivo which contains a cache card/NIC.

Since it was just given to me I don't know much about it.

i'd like to connect it to a wireless bridge on my wireless network, but will need to figure out the nic's MAC address, since I use MAC address filtering on the network.

If I have to pull the card out and look for a sticker on it I can but it's not my first choice due to the tight fit.

Does anyone know of a way to discover the MAC address that I might use?

    Thanks very much!

I always get it from the most obvious way, by plugging it into my wired router and checking its client list.

I can tell you it has BAD in it.

Can you temporarily turn all your security off and check it that way?

Your suggestion to just plug it into the wired router to get the address will work best in my setup.

Thanks very much for your answer!
