Sorry that's what I get for only partially watching, as the other poster said she "prays" many times.

Didn't think the climate was right for apple trees but I looked it up and I guess they could grow there. The the other examples like ball still holds up. They wouldn't know what a ball is because blind people don't play catch. And I'm sure the book has other pictures they wouldn't know or have different names for thus the spelling would be wrong. They would need guidance from someone that can already read just like today's kids. Kid books are usually read to kids by their parents.

I am still in, but they are kind of frustrating me. The kids don't seem to be capable of using their sight to do anything other than drive the storyline. I suppose that the addition of their sight has made the rest of their senses less attuned than their tribe mates rather than add a critical one.

Get kidnapped in a wide open area? Check. Help during the rescue? Check, but be sure to let the bad guy know that you're Baba's kid. Take the lead when running through the forest? Nope, ride the rear and then let Gether Jax lead the witch hunters to you. Do nothing helpful when the blind bad guys are attacking? Check; extra points for letting them get onto the boat, cut your mom (and I thought Paris as well even though it never came up). Kill Tamacti Jun with an arrow? Nope, shoot the one guy you killed at point blank (where was her knife) and then wound Gether Bax. Keep watch at night? Nope, apparently both kids either slept through the incursion or didn't notice. Come on, man.

Other than spotting Bow Lion is a Shadow, sneaking off to read books, and making (if inconsistently using) a bow they don't appear to have used their sight in any way to improve their lives or situations. They are around 19-20 in the storyline now, right?

Yeah, not killing Jun was soooo stupid. I may bail if the next episode does more stupid things.

Yeah, killing Jun would have put an end to their hunt as the rest of the episode made it quite clear the rest of the kingdom didn't care. The kids didn't know that, of course, but I am pretty sure an arrow to the face (if you can hit a turkey you can hit someone monologging) of the witch hunter general is a clear win.

Just as a general rule taking out the leader of your enemy is a good idea.

Then again, these people have probably never been in the position of thinking strategically...

These shows will always do stupid things. In The Walking Dead...
How many times did Negan, The Governor, and now Alpha get away when they were vulnerable?

    I anticipate more stupidity.

I'm out after five minutes based solely on their adornments that nobody can see and serve no purpose other than to look cool on tv.

The last episode nicely moved things forward. I actually didn’t see that last scene coming but should have.

Another thing. The queen got on my last nerve shaking her hand rattler when beckoning her subjects in earlier episodes. At least now we see the significance.

Now she must put those delicate hands to a loom. Not enough justice for wiping out an entire city and destroying machinery that can only be rebuilt by the sighted.

I am only on 2nd episode but if everyone is blind and they have all paired off...all the woman should be pregnant. No tv, no movies, no card games or board games. Think about it. Plus it must be exhausting living as blind people with no sighted people around.

Just realized the female twin is Carly from Travelers. Absolutely one of the best sci fi shows ever.

That's actually a minor problem for me...because Carly is way too old to be Haniwa, and whenever I see Haniwa, I see Carly...

You have a good point. I just watched episode 5 . The last shot was a humdinger. The shot and the words spoken by witch Hunter said it all. Pretty good stuff.

Did anyone watch e06 yet? I started it on the 22nd when it come out and had to stop and let myself simmer down after the sighted children were again worse than useless. Haniwa is literally the worst sighted person on the planet, both eager to rush into danger when there is someone to stop her and then otherwise cowering in fear while she waits for the unsighted to carry the load. I finally finished the episode today and am not convinced I will continue to e07 even though there it only one more after that this season.

tbh, I probably will watch them, but I am seriously disappointed in this series.

I agree. Anyone with sight should be the equivalent of Thanos. Why is this new punk lying? I want to smash his face. I'm starting to like the witch finder!
