    Please help!
    I have an sd-h400, with a se-r0089 remote.
I desperately need a pdf with the instructions for the remote.
Need to program my JVC tv, and do other stuff too.

BTW... been going through these threads... there is no light on my se-r0089.
So besides codes, I really need the instruction manual.
    Can anyone out there help?
    Thanks!
    Rick

    Ummmm...Good point.

What I meant to say was to contact Toshiba (the maker of the DVR remote) for the codes. There are JVC codes in the Installation Guide as well as the wrongly provided Toshiba codes. If I can get the ones for JVC I will post here.

    Thanks!
So, how do I program the remote with these codes?

Ignore those other codes. They were not for the JVC. Here are the steps for programming your remote...

    1. Cover the front of the remote so it does not send signals to your Tivo/TV.

    2. Press and hold the "TV I/O" and "Tivo" buttons for about 5 seconds.

    3. Enter the code. (Some to try: 0053, 0134, 0038, 0040, 0079, or 0239.) There may be other codes on your Tivo. From TiVo Central select Messages & Settings; then Settings; then Remote Control.

    4. Test the code. Point the remote towards the TV and test the "TV I/O" button. If it works the power should go on and off and you will be able to control the TV sound. If not try another code.

As for changing the video input source, I'm not sure. You can try the above steps but replace the "TV I/O" button with the "TV/VIDEO" button. Use the same code. You can also control the sound on an A/V receiver with this remote.
