So nice to see this show back to it's roots. Loved the episode tonight. Sad to see Kelso go, but him telling Ted thinks on his way out was great.

I thought the episode was kind of weak overall but when we got to this moment my eyes welled up with tears. I'll miss Kelso and great that he got to go out on his own terms and that he was nice to Ted for once.

So is Kelso really leaving the show? I hadn't heard that. While I was never a big fan of his character, he did have some classic moments on the show, and he'll be missed. The scene with Ted really was very nicely played.

The series is over so it seems fitting Kelso gets to wrap things up like the way he did.

Not a great episode IMO, but ok....I sure do miss how fun, fast paces and sort of campy the earlier seasons were, now it feels like everyone in the show has grown old and tired of doing the show and are just going through the motions. I've come to the point that if I were were to miss any more eps, I wouldn't really care that much. :(

The series MIGHT be over. Or it might move over to ABC.

True...if they do get a new life, I hope they can get back to the fun, silliness that they had in the first season or two...in it's current mode, it's just not as much fun to watch IMO.

Maybe they'll bring Kelso back if ABC picks the show up. It's definitely not coming back to NBC.

The show IS going to ABC. They're filiming something like 16 more episodes right now.

I saw an article on tvguide.com that says that while no official announcement is coming, Scrubs finished production on all of their NBC episodes, and is going to keep filming straight through August to do 16 more episodes for Season 8. Supposedly, some lower-level cast members will be gone, to reduce the budget. I guess this is why Kelso is gone.

Kelso was going to be going no matter what. Remember, these current episodes were all filmed before the strike and before the ABC deal came up.

I don't think that's true. The article I mentioned before says that the cast was recently finishing up filming on this season. I think they filmed 4 or 5 episodes after the strike.

That's completely untrue. Any episodes that were filmed before the strike were burned off months ago. These are a new batch of episodes.

Last I heard, they were just continuing production on an "undetermined" number of additional episodes beyond the NBC order, with a destination "yet to be named" (which could be either DVD or broadcast on ABC).

I actually enjoyed this episode a lot. It really felt like they've finally returned to form and are making episodes that feel more like early episodes.

But hasn't ABC essentially said that if the show is not continued on NBC that ABC is going to pick it up?

WRONG! Just because I'm newer around here doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.

Check out the links below where Ausiello mentions pre-strike episodes, the 5 that NBC are showing now. No new episodes were recorded for broadcast on NBC, just reshoots done.
