My wife as having trouble reading descriptions in the guide so I thought that was a great use of the Screen Reader feature. Just hold down the "A" button and voila, right?

Everything I've tried, I can't get the screen reader to turn on. It shows up in Settings (where it just has instructions to hold down "A") and in Help, so it's a feature, but it never works.

I thought maybe it had to do with the Dolby vs. PCM audio stuff, but I already had PCM on... I even tried switching to Dolby then back.

I thought maybe it had to do with the sound effects volume which we had turned off, but I turned it on and it didn't make a difference on screen reading.

    Anybody encountered this? Any fix?

and no, the "A" isn't broken on my remote... pressing it for less than 2 seconds in the guide brings up the options.

Does not work on my Premiere either.

Fixes in 20.7.4.RC29, which a Premiere does not have at this time:

    479209:
Accessibility: ABC buttons may not work to turn on features
464600: Text-to-speech may not work on the first attempt to long press the A button
