So this may be a coincidence, but we have another thread going about the VOD service not working for TivoHD customers who recently upgraded their hard drive: (Sorry new member so I cannot post links; search for this thread: 414369) .

I am 100% sure that my stock drive was working with the VOD service literally minutes prior to my 1GB upgrade.

Can anyone with a stock Tivo drive report if they are experiencing this issue? In the "other" thread linked above, "pyrodex" reported that re-installing the stock drive eliminated the Please Wait and Scheduled Maintenance issue.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's been broken for me and I've got a stock S3.

Though it's working right now as I write this. Hope this indicates the issue is resolved.

Quick update...my On Demand service began working immediately after "jbcooley"'s post. Fingers crossed that it was just an isolated issue with the Tivo servers and nothing to do with upgraded hard drives.

I will post again if I experience any further issues.

    TiVoStephen,

Thank you for the status updates. I'm glad to report that I'm now able to access VOD again.

As a very new 1st time TiVo owner I've got to tell you that the honeymoon is over. I was expecting better reliability for my $400 up front payment to your company.

I've got a lot of money tied up in my TiVoHD, a MyDVR Expander, and the lifetime subscription I paid in good faith. I've fulfilled my obligations, please do a better job of living up to your obligations under our contract.

Angry customers produce far fewer new business referrals. Any investment you might make in BACKUP SERVERS would surely pay for itself many times over.

If you need help designing a disaster recovery system I'm available for $200 an hour.
