Anyone watch the new show from Adam Savage (Mythbuaters)? I have not seen it yet.

I recorded it last night but haven't watched it yet. Looks pretty good. I like the concept, at least what I've picked up from the commercials I've seen. Pairing it with Battlebots is a good idea.

I watched it, it's like Mythbusters but without the myth.

    Yeah, I enjoyed it.

    What is his next build?

I just found out about it, but there are no more showings on Discovery for the first episode (I don't get Science channel where they still have them).

I forgot to setup a recording, and it looks like the first episode isn't reairing on Discover in the near future. Bummer! (They are reairing it on Science Channel, but I don't get that. I could stream it, but then I'd be forced to watch ads.)

I know I can watch it there, but can I do it without the ads? Having a DVR for many years has spoiled me and made ads intolerable!

I had to bite the bullet, since I also missed recording it and do not get the Science Channel where the reruns happen.

I watched episode 1 and I liked it.
Based on the complexity of the Gravity Jet Suit, and I believe the inventor said it took him a year to master flight, there was no way Adam was going to even get close in a day. But it was cool seeing him try.
Loved the iron man suit, and also loved that they got the actual renderings to make it.
During the build process, they showed the eyes light up, but during flight they were dark. I'm guessing that was a safety thing since he probably couldn't see very well with the lights on.

I got to see most of the Iron Man episode last night by chance. That was bad ass.

yeah, the first one apparently didn't have pilot or premiere, so my ARWL didn't catch it.

There was a ~10 minute CNET video podcast episode about the Iron Man suit. Probably in the CNET News feed.

It was cool to see Simone.

The 'weapons' were funny. No way they would actually work (other than the goo), so it ended up being just bumper cars.

Interesting people meet yearly to celebrate Mad Max. That was pretty cool

    15 mins...
I missed the Iron Man suit episode but I've seen the other ones so far. I was iffy on this show since I ran out of gas on Myth Busters long ago but I'm glad I One Pass'd it earlier this week. It's interesting and fun. The Excaliber sword episode was good but I wish that it could have been done as a Forged In Fire crossover.

I've always had my default one pass set to one minute before and one minute after, but for Savage Builds, the recording always stops as Adam is in the middle of saying his last line. I've just bumped it to five minutes after so maybe I'll be able to catch the last line now. Is this show really an extra minute long or something?

Check what it's actually supposed to record. It might be getting clipped by a later recording.
