One of the rare SNL’s that I enjoyed the Musical Guest more than the Host.

You have the date of the episode right??? Also missed spelling on Chapelle's name in the subject line.

If this was in regard to the 11/9/2020 episode then I would add that I had complaints about the audio for much of Chapelle's monologue. Very echo-chamber-ish and hard to hear much of it without cranking up the volume to a level that wasn't acceptable as my wife was trying to sleep while I had it on the bedroom TV. I caught a little of it, but again much of it was mangled and just couldn't be heard clearly.

Other than that, I fell asleep soon after his monologue was wrapped up.

What does the "C" represent on the masks that they were all wearing at the end?

I thought his monologue was awful. And I've always liked his material in the past. It felt like the audience laughed because they felt they were supposed to.

Not a fan of the Foo Fighters, but I liked their second song.

I don't remember anything else about the episode.

I thought the audience laughed because he paused and gave them the exasperated "now you're supposed to laugh" look.

His monologue was funny in parts, but overall was underwhelming. Hosting on the day it was declared Trump was defeated, 4 years after hosting when Trump won, maybe it was unfairly high expectations.

What is it with Chappelle's smoking on stage anyway? Is it some sort of signature rebellion or is he just that much of an addict? I kind of feel like we are past all that in 2020.
I was somewhat underwhelmed by him and noticed he wasnt in that many skits. I know a number of people don't go for Mulaney be at least he is usually in most of the skits.

Any news on when Cecily Strong or Aidy Bryant will get freed from what ever quarantine lock they are in?

Just to note, they're not in quarantine: they both are doing other projects where the schedule was delayed due to COVID, so they won't be around for while. Not sure how long. I heard they might be doing remotes but so far I only remember seeing a single appearance by Aidy and nothing from Cecily.

Yea I knew it wasn't Covid but I thought I heard at one point Cecily was in Canada and did not want to risk a going back and forth quarantine issue.

I found it disingenuous that Chapelle “complained” about not getting residuals from “The Chapelle Show” when he reportedly walked away from a $55 million offer from Comedy Central to renew his show back in 2005.

I saw his monologue was on Youtube. I loved the Chapelle Show back in the day. I know his comedy has been different since then. Still figured I'd enjoy it. Turned it off after 5 minutes.

In the season premiere (IIRC) during the cold open, they had Trump and Biden both listen to their own meditation tapes. Biden's was Harry Styles speaking softly and Trump's was Cecily recreating the "best is yet to come speech" from the Convention.

Anyone entering Canada from the US right now is required to do a mandatory 14 day self-isolation, so that would make it impossible for her to do any work in Canada if she was travelling back and forth to New York every week.

Last week, they started doing a new test at the airport here in Calgary where people can take a test upon landing with results within 48 hours. If their results come back negative, they aren't required to continue isolating. So far, Calgary is the only airport in Canada offering this new test. If it gets expanded to Toronto, maybe she'll try commuting, although it still requires isolating until you get your results, so it would still reduce her availability to shoot in Toronto to about 4 days a week.

Thanks! Even though it seem so obvious now, I never would have thought that Chapelle has his own merch.
