'Brick in the middle with a standard two-prong removable appliance cord on the AC side. It's just like the appliance cord the TiVo uses, except it is quite short. Some people may wish to replace it with a longer cord if they don't want the brick sitting on the floor.

The guys who came to my house I think were pretty instrumental in having that set up. I pointed out to them this was a city-wide issue that would no doubt garner a lot of trouble calls if they didn't provide some sort of handling mechanism, and pointed them to this thread on the forum. While they had the IT guy on the line (I don't know which one) he looked over the thread. A little later, ZEROKILL began posting. I don't know if he was the IT guy on the line, or not.

I agree that giving out that phone number is awesome. Also, I concur with irhorer. I'm really impressed that twc gave me a personal phone call telling me when to pick up the TA, gave me no hassle issue of 2 TA's, and follow up support from Roland and Daniel. Good to go.

My wife is so stoked right now to have the tivo up and running fully that we went and bought a tivohd at Costco tonight for $179 to stick in the bedroom. We're going to ditch the twc box. I just hope the Callahan location will have cc's tomorrow. The 410 location had zero on hand two days ago.

Its my understanding that ONLY the SP/BLanco location has the CC's. I could be wrong though.

And when I heard the TA's were going out last monday, I too bought another Tivo HD :p

Yeah, I went to the Callaghan office, and I was told only the nw 410 location carries the cc's in san antonio. So, I went there and got two S cards. They had a whole box full of them. I've only been in san antonio for 3 months, so I'm probably not providing any groundbreaking information for anyone here. I do apologize if my recent postings appear pointless.

Two S cards? Do you have Series 3 or Tivo HD? Cause if you bug them, they will give you M cards :p

I know, they tried to give me an S for my second Tivo when i went there and I insisted on an M. They called the "warehouse" and about an hour later the nice lady called me back and said she had my M card. I then finished my lunch at Dickie's (BBQ Place right behind it :p) and picked up my M card.

I have a Series 3 and this new HD, which I got the two cards for this morning. I asked for an M, and watched her go through the whole box for one and search through the cabinet, but all they had were S's. It'll cost me a few extra bucks a month.. oh well F it

Wow! Two new TiVo's purchased just here in San Antonio and in this thread solely because the TA is now available. TiVo must be seeing a very welcome surge in revenue, and the Cable comapnies are going to have a sudden small glut of returned STBs and DVRs.

Well 2.73 a month is a small amount, but if I were you I would go back and insist on an M for the HD. They can get them, and they do have them, hell, all their STB's are stocked w/ M's, so if they tell you they dont have them and can't get them they are lying :p I insisted on one and they magically found it in less than an hour.

They gave me the same spiel, but when the installer arrived to put the CableCards in my THD, it turnmed out the two cards he had were M-cards. Of course, that was over a year ago.

Anyone know if one has the digital phone package if caller ID should work with the TA and CCards?

Looks like the '8 blinks' blinking of doom has hit my tuning adapter here in San Antonio. The TA isn't getting an IP address and all things SDV have vanished. Anybody else getting this right now?

Call the number listed earlier in this post. Talk to Roland. he can get you fixed up.

suddenly, all my hd channels above 112 are dropping at random times. reboot of the tivo fixes sometimes. otherwise the channels just reappear. getting the "looking for signal on cable in" message when the channels are out. solid green light on the TA.
