My S3 looses contact with my HD all the time. They're on the appropriate subnet, both connect to TiVo just fine. I've reset my account on TiVo, the HD see the S3 but many times says there are no files. When I do see a connection in now playing I jump on transfers but they never complete.

Sorry if this is a bit disjointed, any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

There seems to be a lot of that going on lately for some reason.

It can't hurt and might help to give both TiVos, and anything else on your network that doesn't move, fixed IP addresses to take the DHCP variable out of the equation.

And put a fan where it'll blow on your router.

It may help to reboot the Tivos and your router. You can also try re-entering your network settings and set DNS and gateway addresses to your router's IP.

I booted both and the router as well, though not at the same time, over a period of a couple of days.

What's the brand and model number on that router, by the way?

You haven't mentioned if its connected wired or wireless.

If its wireless and you lose network connections often, you may try a different wireless channel, like 1, 6, or 11 is best.

It also helps to set DNS and Gateway address to your router, usually 192.168.1.1, if you encounter errors Nxx.
