Hi there. I've got a Phillips 112 Series 1 w/ lifetime service, 120GB HD, network card, original remote, replaced fan, but with non-functional modem.

How much do you think I could get on eBay for it?

    Thanks.

    Todd

    1. most of these threads are no doubt started by people looking for buyers since they can't come right out and post sales

    2. this same poster posted a SALE thread the other day that was deleted (I remember his signature)

    2. if you think that was obnoxious, you lead a sheltered life.

The Lifetime Subscription is pretty much worthless now unless Tivo has some Transfer options available soon for the Series 3 or TivoHD.

Remember, the Lifetime is tied to the unit not the account, and the Philips 112 Series is becoming older and older. It is starting to cost more than what the units worth in terms of replacement/repairing things.

Why isn't there a "For Sale" forum here? Seems like a many would get a lot of use out of it.

Thank you, I agree. We as Americans need to be able to continue to expect that everything should be done for us. When we ask for help we don't really want help, we want someone to do it for us and to do it with a smile. Doing things for ourselves may result in learning something and that would be detrimental to our carefully maintained ignorance of the world around us.

Because the Powers that were did not beleive one was needed and so did not bother with it. The typical answer is: EBay, Craigslist, Local Flea Markets etc etc.

    LOL.

I disagree. Its about time Americans got off their behinds and started doing things for themselves, instead of relying on every one else to do things for them.

Maybe we should just all go back to Medieval times, where you actually had to work to survive, and had no Technology. Where we went to bed when it got Dark, and got up when the Sun rose.

    :D

    Honey...
You guys are cracking me up :)

But I agree - a Series 1 with a non-functional modem - sounds like it would only be good for someone needing parts.

yeah, that'd crank up the value about $50 all by itself.. (I was bidding on 'networked series 1s' while searching for a used tivonet/turbonet.)
