TOTAL TiVo upgrade newbie here. Please forgive me if this has been asked before. If it has, please point me in the direction of enlightenment.

I own a Toshiba RS-TX20 and was wanting to upgrade the hard drive. I found (what I think is) a pretty good deal on a Western Digital 400GB drive on Newegg . Is this drive compatible with the RS-TX20? If I read correctly on the MFStools site, the series 1 & 2 TiVo's can only use a PATA drive. This one is a SATA, thus my question.

    Thanks!

You need a PATA drive for the RS-TX20. Only the Series3 and HD use SATA, basically all other tivos use PATA.

I was afraid of that. I may get it anyway and replace the drive in my desktop.
