Months ago, I was able to modify the original Roseanne OnePass to "Start from: Season 10". Apparently, that's no longer good. For whatever reason, TiVo decided to put season 10 under a new series ID. So, for whoever is planning on recording season 10 onward, look to March 27th and set a brand new OnePass for the series. They're starting it at Sea 1 Ep 1. To me, that doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

Sounds like its a re-make of the old series.

Like MacGyver, there is the old original series, and now the newer series.

To the best of my knowledge, Roseanne is supposed to be a revival.

Yep, a revival as in, a continuation of the series. Like "Will and Grace [and Jack and Karen]."

Someone needs to tell Rovi/Tivo then:

Description: "A reboot of the sitcom about a loving but imperfect working-class family".

Keep both season passes. They may change their mind again, they do that from time to time.

Same problem with The Daily Show. Or maybe the opposite. Roseanne should be season 10, and I wonder if you set the 1P to season 10 if it has an entry in the TDL.

The Daily Show displays as season 23, but it's really season 3. Set the 1P to 3 and nothing records. I sent a bug report to TiVo but nothing was done.

Thanks for this thread! I'd have been really pissed if I missed the show because of this nonsense.

Not necessarily wrong, though: a reboot in the sense of starting up again.

But W&G also reset to season one with its revival.

Ah--they're calling this a new "season 1"? Well, that's just wrong. ;) Unless the series is now called "The New Will and Grace." ;)

W&G is listed separately on Hulu as well. I would guess that it’s for syndication purposes so that stations that bought the rights to rerun W&G or Roseanne episodes don’t get the rights to the new stuff.

NBC themselves have been inconsistent in how they labeled will and Grace although a new series is used more often.

You're contradicting yourself. The Daily Show *is* on season 23. It's been on since the 90s, a couple of years with Craig Kilborn, a zillion years with Jon Stewart, and now with Trevor Noah.

Just because the host changed, the 'show' is the same show (yeah they have changed formats significantly over the years but you know what I mean).

Heck, my existing top gear OP gets the ones with Matt LeBlanc too..

When I originally set it months ago, a season 10 was available under the options. It was a surprise to see that I had to create a new OnePass as they decided to change the route they were going. The route being a new OnePass rather than a continuation of the old series for recording purposes.

I'd like to see an option in OnePasses to record related shows. Example of related shows are as follows.
    Roseanne (1-9), Roseanne (10+)
Power Rangers (all the various series)
    Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul
    Pokémon (all the various series)
    Black-ish, grown-ish
Marvel's Avengers (cartoon on Disney), and the various season renamings
Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man, and the various season renamings
    Naruto, Naruto Shippuden
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels

I just noticed that my OnePass for the original Roseanne says "Start from: Season 10" but under OnePass Options, it has "Start from: Season 1", with the option for Season 10 removed.

Why does a 1P fail if set to start at season 23? The 1P manager doesn't permit you to use season 3.

You previously said "Set the 1P to 3 and nothing records.".

Again, it's NOT season 3, it is season 23.

I set it to season 1. My mistake. It can not be set to season 3. Anything higher than 1 fails, since the next number is 17.

I just set to "New Episodes Only" and looks like it will work for me.
