Roamio has no usable signal strenght meter for about 6 months now after an update.
I am experiencing a similar issue with my Roamio. The signal strength indication seems to only hold the value for the selected channel when it was started, and the peak indication does not capture a value. Is there an update on this? Looks like an update has taken out this capability
Tivo apparently cant fix this or want to ignore the problem.
I certainly cant recommend anyone buying a Tivo product if this s what happens. Calling is useless.
What TiVo do you have?
Are you having a problem tuning channels?
If not what's the problem?
When a TiVo problem is discovered it can take many months to years for them to fix it; maybe worse since sold to rovi.
I'm not sure this is your issue, but there is an issue with some signal strength indicators that gives faulty readings if you change channels to get a different channel's strength reading. The workaround in this case is to exit the signal strength indicator, change channels, and re-enter.
This is a "Know Issue". TiVo promises a fix with next update. See: Tivo Customer Support Community
