My Roamio has no picture. I have hooked up my Roamio to two tvs and neither has a picture (tried three different HDMI cables). Both tvs tell me that there is a weak or no signal. I have two Tivo minis that are working fine. Anyone have a solution or know of this kind of problem?

Can you get the Tivo menu itself showing?

Could be a failed HDMI interface, if it is, it can't be fixed and need to be exchanged.

Exchanged? Don't think they make Roamios anymore, and a two year old unit probably has no warranty.

Try the HDUI reset Thumb Down, Thumb Up, Play, Play.
Could it be stuck in standby?
Anything displayed while booting after forcing a power-cycle reboot the Roamio?

TiVo swapped a Roamio for me recently with a Bolt.

I have been messing around with this all evening and notice too that (since I mostly use component switching thru the receiver) the receiver also will not switch to another component like my either one of my 2 dvd players or fire tv.
I am wondering if I had a storm that zapped both my tivo and receiver but left the tv and other components intact.
I hooked a dvd player directly to the tv and it worked fine but the direct hook up of the tivo to 2 of my tvs did nothing.
And no luck with the HDUI reset.

I had a lightening strike take out my Roamio last month and they replaced it, but it was still under warranty.

Can you try the component video outputs instead of using HDMI? On the Plus or Pro anyway?

    The WV...
If it is a + or Pro a component to HDMI adapter could likely be used. OP - does your AVR do component also?

    No component on my tivo.
Must have been an electrical problem as I can't get my receiver to play radio stations.
Makes me sick as I had lifetime service on the Roamio.
I might try a refurb Roamio and a cheaper receiver.

Don't some Roamio actually have the AV 'composite' port? With the correct cable you could use that to maybe monitor your TiVo connections and continue on with the Mini as you use them. I believe it's called Roamio 'composite break-out' cable.

Did I mention that TiVo recently replaced a Lifetime out-of-warranty Roamio for me?

    All I did was ask.

They even gave me a black one on request to match the other components...

The 4 tuner Roamio Basic and OTA does, and require the special cable.

There not really being anything special about the special cable, apart from the $10-$15 price. ;)

I called Tivo support and they are sending a new Roamio and they are charging a $159 exchange fee as we chose the option for them to ship a new Roamio and keep the old Roamio until we finish watching what we have recorded via the Tivo minis.
Also found a reasonable price on a Yamaha receiver at Amazon (as we like to component switch through it).

At this point I am pleased that we didn't have to spend an arm and a leg to replace both Tivo and Receiver.
