Restart Necc to Regain Video Signal

    My series 2 loses its video signal every few days and I have to restart it to get it back. Since this is a complete loss of signal, this obviously affects both 'Watch Live TV' and recording. For 'Watch Live TV,' it's a black screen, and for recordings, they show up as 'partial' and zero minutes or some such indication.

    The DVR input is the composite video from a Moto digital cable box. Everything appears to be fine from the box, if I connect its output to something besides the TiVo, there is no problem with the signal.

    The only fix I've found is to restart the TiVo, then things work OK for a day or two and then the cycle repeats.

    Any ideas? This TiVo box is 2-3 years old. I hate to just throw it away.

    Mine does the same thing. Drives me crazy because I am not sure what night it will happen on. It's usually Friday nights though.
