Tivo Roamio is going to be my last model I am going to use. When the drive fails, I can just swap in another and keep going and going and going.

Just submitted the survey using the advisors link above.
I had first contacted TiVo Support about this, here is the chat transcript:
TiVo Support: I understand that you wanted to disable the TIVo+ on your TiVO Edge.
Me: Just remove the ads that are appearing as a line in the guide
TiVo Support: Unfortunately, we do not have an options for you to remove it from your device. However, I can send you a link where you can submit and provide your feedback regarding enhancements and suggestions about TiVo products.
Me: After several weeks they no longer appeared on the my old TiVo BOLT. Why are they appearing again on the new device?
TiVo Support: I'm not sure about that, but as far as I know, there is no way for us to disable the TiVo+.
Me: Just to be clear: I don't want to disable TiVo+ completely, I just don't want to see the ads for it in the TV guide. They are taking up valuable real estate.
TiVo Support:: I understand that. But again there is no way for us to remove those ads since it is part of the TiVo+ app
Me: Will they disappear after a while like they did on the old device?
TiVo Support: I am not certain of that, since we really don't have control over that.
Me: OK, disappointing but I understand there is nothing you can do.
TiVo Support: We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank you for using TiVo Chat you have a great day!

I called Tivo Support again today to complain about the Tivo+ addition to the TV Guide, which annoyingly occupies a line on every screen as you scroll through the OTA TV Guide. This BS needs to be removed from the TV Guide it’s bad enough that it’s on the Home screen as an unmovable option. To make matters worse I reviewed some of the content channels on Tivo+ only to find none of interest are HD (1080p nor 720p) channels, I did not upgrade all my home viewing equipment with expensive ass Tivo boxes to watch 480p or lower quality TV (be it streaming, OTA or cable). Forced Tivo+ is ruining the Tivo convenience experience you advertise, just as not providing the popular app’s Americans are clamoring for is a causing more to consider other streaming options than Tivo. Tivo does not have Disney+ or Locast available on your Tivo Bolt devices, Locast is free service so at the most it should be just a matter of Tivo providing the code to Locast for their review then add the app or provide necessary coding details to Locast to write the app.

I called last month on 03/12/2020 to make the same complaint about annoying/overbearing Tivo+ and got the same response from your Support Center (Tivo+ cannot be removed from TV Guide). Then a few days later I noticed it had been removed well now it’s back and your incompetent Support Center is spewing the same retarded/regurgitated response (Tivo+ cannot be removed from TV Guide). I told them that Tivo+ was not always there so prominently in the TV Guide, it’s that they do not have the skill to make the adjustment.

I am due to renew my Tivo subscription again later this year which, if you continue to ignore the fact the forced Tivo+ is annoying BS you impose on a captive audience with no other choices. I will consider switching to Amazon Recast as my DVR and avoid the yearly Tivo expenses altogether.

Locast is available on Tivo. It is embedded in the Vewd app.

Hopefully, if no one actually watches the Tivo+ channels they will eventually be dropped and the guide garbage removed

You can remove Tivo+ but at a cost of losing your shows, settings and starting over. That means to revert to v20.7.4 (TE3).

ThAbtO, TiVo’s website advertisements are all about promoting the convenience and progress of their devices/program combo, then to blatantly force TiVo+ on their subscribers with in your face advertising On the TV Guide goes against the expected norm. I would rather let my TiVo subscription lapse and switch to Amazon Recast then go backwards.

Going to v20.7 is not going backwards, rather forwards, with no ads. With v21 (TE4), its like going 2 steps backwards.

I would rather avoid TE4. There are a few things you lose with v21 (TE4), one is the ability to transfer shows from the PC to Tivo. Plus, TE3 is faster then TE4.

If you never had Tivo before until now, on TE4, you haven't experienced all the functions that was on TE3.

I have been a TiVo user/subscriber since 2018 and I am not privy to TiVo software version number order only that I am running the latest version available currently v21.9.7.v3. So to me any other version would be a step backwards. Also you are admittedly well versed in Tivo functions than I, functions I do not utilize.

Yesterday on my guide I was seeing ads for ABC shows looking very similar to the TIVO+ adds in guide - not seem to be there today but I wonder if this is the next garbage coming

After today's service connection, all I have is TiVo+ but no other ads. It will probably change tomorrow.

I haven't been pissed enough at Tivo to do a post for a long time. Now I'm saying: remove this stupid Tivo+ ad from the channel guide immediately. I know where Tivo+ is if I want it...and I don't want it. I already have all these "free" channels on my LG Smart TV. Why would I want them to run slower on my Tivo Roamio? Also Tivo: I already paid for your product. You have no right to advertise to me on the freakin' channel guide and clutter up my user experience in the process. Cease and desist. Everyone...keep this thread alive. Make Tivo marketing stop this crap.

Here's the response from Tivo Cust Support:

"TiVo+ is our new streaming service. Unfortunately, the option to remove the feature is not available. We're positive if you give it more time, you'll get accustomed to the changes this feature comes with. The commercials in TiVo+ allow us to bring this content to TiVo users at no additional charge. We are constantly working with new digital and traditional networks to bring you the channels we think you will love. Check back frequently for updates about new channels."

I have the same response as before. No one wants banner ads in the channel guide. The frickin' Tivo+ ad repeats on every page fer cryin' out loud! If you actually watch Tivo+ (seriously?), were you having a hard time finding it in the first place? Do you really need a frickin' clickable banner ad on every frickin' page of the guide?

    Thus end-th my rant.:(

Sell your bolts, get a lifetime Roamio on ebay, and enjoy TiVo again.
