Ads for TiVo+ channels are showing up in the TV guide and I can't find how to disable them. Please help me remove this unecetable and annoying junk from the TV guide.

There is no way to disable ads permanently.

To clarify, the ads I’m talking about are for Tivo+ channels mixed in within the normal live TV Guide list. They show a random Tivo+ channel ad on every page of the TV Guide now and I can’t find a way to remove them. They even show up when you filter down to favorite channels only.

Am I missing something? What does this tweet have to do with anything? Look like it's just an announcement for Tivo+ being rolled out. Nothing to do with the TV Guide listing being messed up after the Tivo+ rollout.

Well, its no wonder I don't get any ads since I don't have Bolt, TE4 or T+.

Consider yourself lucky. Tivo+ makes the normal Tivo experience much worse.

    In the ATL
Open a case with CS to get them removed, only way there going to consider it is if enough customers complain.

But the real answer is to downgrade to TE3 when they say they won't do it.

    I'm on TE3.

Adding pre-roll ads to shows that TiVo doesn't own makes no sense. Maybe not the same, but imagine if a retailer were to open up the DVDs for sale, insert a flyer of some sort, and then re-shrink wrap them.

I think it's better to call. They can just skim the e-mail and be done with it. But calling takes time. Even more time if you request a supervisor. Show them that you're willing to spend your valuable time complaining about an issue you care about.

On TE3, no plan to touch Hydra. But still wish @TiVo_Ted would address whether there'd be a way to opt-out of TiVo+ guide ads for those who do have Hydra.

Obviously, a number of people don't want it there, and it only serves to annoy and pester someone into trying it.

Same here, want them gone, just noticed these today as I usually don’t mess around in guide. My kid doesn’t need easy access to FailArmy...
    How disappointing...

The TiVo says if I roll back, I lose all my recordings. Not cool.

So just transfer them to a PC then upload them back to the Tivo once you are on TE3.

Tivo+ is a re-branding of Xumo channel content done very poorly. The channels in the channel guide don't actually display the content titles, start and stop times, and they have already baked in "commercial placeholders" for future commercials that loop as "Tivo+ We'll be right back", for minutes on end. Leave it to Tivo to take something they have perfected and ruin it.

Look at LG Tv's with Xumo re-branded as "Channel Plus" for a good integration of Xumo content.
